have to return faulty phone

hi all, i was just wondering if anyone has any experience of this matter. I bought a mobile phone from the littlewoods catalogue 5 months ago (lg renoir kc 910) and it has just started to play up.
when i open the view wheel to turn the camera on, it comes up with camera loading but freezes on that, and the only way to carry on is to take the battery out and turn the phone on (but camera doesn't work at all still!)
The colours on the screen go purple and green at times as well.
ive only had it 5 months, so still under warranty, but they've said it takes up to 14 days to "find out if it is faulty" ie: to determine whether or not its my fault or a camera fault.
Im worried that they're going to play the "you must have dropped it/got it wet" card. in which case they won't replace or repair and i just end up with a phone that doesn't work properly, so i was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what the outcome was?

If they do play the intentionally damage/wet card there is nothing you can do as they are excluded from warranty repairs, even if the fault is not related to impact/water damage they will refuse to repair it.
Is the phone covered under house insurance, other mobile insurance (separate or part of a bank account)?Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Nope, i've only got basic house insurance and its not covered, The only other thing i could do is to get it insured, give it a month or two and then put a claim in for it, but im going to keep my fingers crossed for them to say they'll replace it first!0

The handset should be returned to manufacturer they will repair it or if they deem it to be liquid damaged or dropped they will take a picture of said damage and send it out. If you disagree with this you could then go in car phone warehouse with proof of purchase from catalogue and get there engineers look at it they will ha ve no knowledge of lgs repair. Be honest unless it has been wet or dropped it will be fixed first time0

yh, I've been really careful with this one, because of how much it cost!! Littlewoods have said that if its not deemed my fault, then they don't repair them, but will replace, but i noticed that they're out of stock anyway! But i'll worry about the out of stock problem if it comes to it! just annoyed i might be without a phone over xmas and new years, they said it usually takes two weeks!0
