For the men, you can get useful things like:
    Nail clippers,
    Nail brush,
    Mini screwdriver,
    Shaving cream,
    Styptic pencil,
    Razors
Maybe a little puzzle or a minibook (the Little book of...)

    For the lady:
    lip balm,
    Travel size toiletries,
    Handy pack of cute/pretty tissues,
    Nail files,
    earings,
    gloves
    what is a styptic pencil?:D

Worryingly I shouldn't know this at my age but I do ! They are when you cut yourself shaving you rub this stuff on and it stops it bleeding. Very handy for the men if they cut their faces and need to get their shirt on quickly without looking like Dracula!

Sorry mines not serious but is cheap, polystyrene airplanes, my grown up lads get one every year, cost about 20p and they all love them. Worth 20p for just the one days fun. The first year my daughter was married her husband looked longingly he has admitted as my son played with his plane. What he didn't know was that there was one in his stocking also.

    Hi Sethsgran,

where do you get the polystyrene airplanes??
would be great for someone I know :)

  • What about buying a few of these sweets and then bunging them in the stocking

    http://www.thepinksugarmouse.com/hard_boiled_sweets.html

they do a box of sweets for £4 but what you can do instead of this is get yourself a box of your owne per stocking and get 4 or 5 different bags and fill your own boxes up. It would cost loads less and you can bung in tones of them and save the money on postage for the boxes as you can buy them at £ shops

  • I'm doing a stocking for my 2 children and my OH.

Another idea that I'm including in my OH's is a bottle of Christmas real ale from the supermarket. Nice stocking size, christmassy and always goes down a treat later in the day!!

About £1.49 from morrisons. There was a Rudolph Ale and a Santa one I think. Also a chestnut ale too.

I do this too, for my In-laws and OH. Things appeaing this year include...

    sweets/chocs
    socks
    pants
    smellies
    bargain basement DVDs
    candles
    notebooks
    favourite magazine
    seeds
    key ring

they are much harder to do for adults than I imagine they would be to do for kids, but i still have lots of fun.
