backlight bleeding

i have a panasonic 37 freesat 1080p lcd tv .
when first switched on 2 grey shadows appear bottem right and left of the screen is this backlight bleeding ? how can it be fixed? i read on another forum that if you loosen screws on the rear of tv by a very slight turn that may cure the problem .
any advice welcome.
