I have got most of my non perishables in Sainsbury(Can Soup/Sauces/Gravy/Juice/Tinned Fruit/Crisps/Crackers/Chocolates/Trifle mix/Aero Hot Choc/UHT milk etc.)
Few Frozen in Iceland / Morrisons (Turkey Crown, Pork Loin and 2 Cartons Soup)
Nuts for Squirrels n birds in 99p shop/Morrisons
Just means Fresh Fruit, Veg, Salad, Cheese to get Christmas Week.
Super Bargain was the Morrisons £4 deal, few Sainsbury toiletries offers (used Nectar Points)
The Chocolates 2 for £6 (as didn't want £5 / £6 tin offers around) wasn't great as sounded as £3 each in Iceland and deal also in Costcutter!
Few pennies offers off the some of the above or opted for Basics range.

Totally agree, why do people clog the shops up in the last few days before Christmas by buying a massive trolley full of food when most of it could have been bought well in advance.
I think some people get excited by an overflowing trolley!
The only things I will be buying next week is perishables.
Why so much food anyway? I know people say they are cooking for loads more people - but surely this must be compensated by the 'loads more' people not needing to do any shopping???????0 -

Couple years ago I went to Asda at 2am and it was a nitemare!!!!
Least now I could avoid the Supermarket and go to the market or Green Grocers instead.
Saturday "Sainsbury" was quiet at 10am, "Lovely"!!! Even Morrisons at 12pm was quiet (where were all the people?)0 -
PMSL I once saw two women fighting over a tin of Heinz Baked Beans one Christmas Eve morning!I couldnt help myself bursting out laughing at them and their faces were a total picture.
I dont shop on Xmas Eve any more as I just cant take the stress

I avoid christmas eve now. Have most of my non perishables already, will get the rest this week and then just go to the local farm shop for veggies.

OK so got my last morrison receipt today-for the £25 offer. Got a few offers on biscuits and xmas bits plus some non perishables and this weeks shopping as well so good day.
So next week will have the £25 voucher plus £50 of saving stamps to get the last of our stuff from Morrions, to be honest its plenty so may get some stock items such as flour toilet rolls washing up liquid to get to the total.
Will then get a few bits from Aldi (only around £10-£20 or so) plus about the same from my local farm shop, luckily Oh gets paid mid month lol. Then I can sit back and laugh at all those still trying to shop on thurs. Mind you will be busy baking/cooking anyway, but that doesn't involve car parks and traffic so its great.

Plus the fact that some of the supermarkets put prices up the week of Christmas and stop most of their offers. 300 price increases tomorrow morning at Tesco. If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550
