Vodaphone Company Rep, Please Read

hi

If i have a dongle, which is unlocked, can i just buy a simcard from vodaphone and put it into my dongle for mobile broadband use?......can i buy this mobile broadband simcard from anywhere?

How much is the minimum top up for mobile broadband, and whats the usages (eg 512mb, 1GB, 3, GB, 5GB?)

does the allowance expire after one month, if not how long does it last for?

Are your ip address's given to a group meaning other people may have had the same ip address as me previously?

thanks...

    Hi jassi_9,

Glad to see you’re considering using Vodafone as your Mobile Broadband provider.

You can use a Vodafone SIM card (contract or PAYG) in an unlocked dongle.
If you’re a Vodafone Contract customer, you can add a bundle to your account, which would be around £5.00 a month for 500 megabytes per month.

We offer on a normal PAYG SIM data tariffs starting from 50p per 25 MB per day.

Our Pay as you surf modems, come with a SIM including 1 GIG (then top ups for £15 per GIG)
for a one of charge of £29.00. The usage on the Pay as you surf modem does not expire.

Further information can be found here:

Much like most providers, Vodafone deploy DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol) which means that all IP addresses are leased to customers then released back into a pool ready for other customers to use; we do not support static IP Addressing for our consumer customers.

    Hope this helps

    Best wishes
