It's just not worth it for £2, if it was £20 that might be a different story.

Remember it can work the other way as well, I managed to buy Uncharted 2 for the PS3 from Play for £17.99 a few weeks ago which saved me a whole lot of money so no complaints from me!

Forgive me, I mistakenly thought this was a "Money SAVING" website:rolleyes:

Clearly people are missing the point. I must have told half a dozen people this story and they have all been quite amazed that the price was dropped after TWO days. Perhaps I came to the wrong place for advice.

I know it's annoying but Play can drop, or up, their prices whenever they want. The fact that Amazon have their price drop policy is irrelevant as that is an extra service they offer. If you want to be covered by something like that buy from Amazon.

I recently bought a camocorder and a few days afterwards it was offered for a slightly higher price but with a free 24Gb SDHC card making it cheaper than me buying the camcorder and a separate card. Annoying, yes but it's just the luck of the draw.

If Play had put the price up the day after you boguth it would you have sent them the £2 difference or just thought how lucky you'd been?

Are you aware of any retailers who don't drop their prices ever? I bought petrol from Asda on Saturday at 105.9 per litre and the next day they'd dropped it to 103.9. Should I stop shopping there?

I am well aware that prices can go up as well as down but my original question was if anyone knew if Play.com had a policy like Amazon where they will refund the difference if they suddenly drop the price on something you have just bought from them.

I thought this forum was where people came for help and advice from other moneysavers.

I didn't expect judgements on whether it was "worth it", surely that is my decision?

  • I don't think they have such a policy. If you want to shop somewhere with that protection, you may pay more for your goods. If you aren't happy with the price, you can send the product back.

Spending £10 worth of your own time and a great deal more of many other people's debating and pursuing a loss of £2 isn't money saving, it's money wasting.

You project yourself as the type of fool who would spend £50 repairing a broken item that costs £10 to replace.

Stop moaning, find something positive to do and get a life!

Thanks for your words of wisdom. Clearly you have nothing better to do with your time than insult people.

I honestly didn't think this was the sort of place where people could expect abuse. I don't think thats why martin set up this forum.

Unfortunately people like you make this an uncomfortable forum to post on due to your unhelpful comments.

I don't think Amazon have that policy anymore.
