Pre-LBM, most ridiculous purchase...

Hi all,
I have just been looking back through my credit card statements and I am disgusted with myself at the ridiculous things I have bought, I can't believe that was me. For example:
£109.85 on Spa treatments on holiday (2 massages), this was supposed to be a "cheap trip", the hostel we stayed in cost us £7 a night....
£85 hair cut, it looks just the same now and costs me £12
£29 suntan lotion (it wasn't even BOGOF)

These are just a few items, and only from January's statement.

So who can lay claim to the most ridiculous item bought???

I went through this ridiculous stage after my last bf left me for a "footballers wives" type. I tried to make myself feel better by competing with her and spent a fortune getting gel nail extensions, a fancy haircut and a £25 bottle of perfume (it was tiny!). I have no idea what I thought I was trying to do....

I dread to even look back through my old CC statements because I basically lived off the thing for a year!

I do remeber buying a wig once to wear because I thought it would be fun. It was bright pink and it never saw the light of day!

It's quite a good way of seeing how much you have achieved and also a wake up call if you find yourself slipping off that wagon.

Found any other uses for that wig? I'm sure there's an OS way of recycling everything....

  • I bought a car before I passed my test - then failed (passed later of course :) ) and moved to an area where I did not need a car.

Oh, also bought my then girlfriend a £200 necklace then dumped her the month later (in a very gently mature way, rather than via text or e-mail!) because I realised I did not actually like her that much! Clever lad when I was younger doh
