02/cpw and i phone query
i need help deciding what to do as i get different answers from o2, cpw and o2/cpw.
I have an o2/cpw sim only deal with a year left 500 mins and 1000 texts discounted to £5 per month.I want to buy an i phone and use this sim card for the same number and mins and texts(i will buy the web bolt on £7.50)
O2 said i would need to transfer everything from my current sim to the i phone new sim?? and would keep everything i have.
CPW said just put my sim in i phone
o2/cpw said they didnt think it would work as my sim is an old one.
I dont want to fork out for a new i phone without 100% knowing and am now very confused.
Any ideas?

i would have thought u needed a new sim to support the settings? But I would maybe ask to be put through to a technical department if they say no???
But I am sure I have heard of people putting in their normal sim cards into unblocked iPhones so maybe it can support your normal sim
Maybe ask someone who has an iphone if you can put your sim into their phone and see if it works?? Just a suggestion
Sorry i havent been much help

If your old sim doesn't work O2 can't set you up with a new one? When I got my first 3G phone my sim card didn't work in it so O2 sent me out a new sim card still with all my usual bundles on it.xxx Nikki xxx0

That was also mentioned by one of them but were unsure if it would work anyway as not a sim linked to i phone

If you don't have a 3G sim (it says on the end of the SSN on the sim if its a 3G) then o2 is correct that you will need to transfer all your details to a new sim.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0
