I complained to the FOS over 3 months and nothing has been decided yet by them but today I received a letter from Salisbury Financial Services saying that as a result of my complaint they will not be pursuing their claim any further which is fantastic news. Thank you all so much for your advice which really helped out!!0

The FOS give the company a chance to review their response before they make a ruling. It saves the FOS work and it gives the company a chance to avoid paying the £550 odd to the FOS for reviewing the complaint. I suspect that it what has occurred.

It is good news.
This IFA is a disgrace - as long ago as February he threatened you with court in 7 days unless he got paid. Many people would have caved in under all the threats, which have been a bluff designed to frighten you from the outset.
It's a shame his other clients don't come here and learn about his unethical methods.0
