That's a really good idea I am saving to retire at 55 ( 7 years to go) If I can stand it so long LOL;)0 -
HOLD ON!
I forgot to add in the compound effect of "climate change"!
I have now had to re-adjust the hardware model to take account of this; Therefore:
1. Follow steps 1 - 7, as before.
2. THIS IS THE IMPORTANT BIT! - When you throw the darts, Stand on one leg whilst singing the classic Cliff Richard number, "Mistletoe and Wine".
3. HEY PRESTO, you now have your new NUMBER, taking into account overheating penguins and polar bears.
Again, there may be some copyright issues with this, but I'm sure if I explain to Cliff (The Peter Pan of Pop!) that the retirement plans of the whole nation hinge on this, he'll soon jump "on board".:ANothing is foolproof, as fools are so ingenious!0 -

I knew if I sat back and waited long enough, all that "Boo Hoo... It's not fair...you're not asking the correct questions....and (sob) you keep insulting me as the only and super clever IFA on here...." nonsense would be replaced by some good Xmas humour! :T
Thanks guys!
Keep telling us what YOUR NUMBER is and a few clues as to how its calculated would be interesting.
Happy Xmas.THE NUMBER is how much you need to live comfortably: very IMPORTANT as part 1 of Retirement Planning. (Average response to my thread is £26k pa)0 -

There over 1000 financial planning firms in the UK using the system successfully so what makes you think they havent been invented?
I'm sure the systems have been invented... But like the thousands of Debt Collection Agent companies, IVA sales men and similar out there, just because something has been invented does not mean it works nor that it is infact a even a good idea or adds value to the community or humanity.
As a very keen DFW - and apparently "crash dieter"...then DFW is a far broader group than you realise. Yes there are those of us who try to live fairly frugally, there are those who merely try to live more sensibly and within our means, and there are those unfortunate who come to DFW for help with seriously dire financial situations. Some selfinflicted, others victims of circumstances and some purely uninformed decisions. We try and help everyone with what advice and support we can. Yes we're the "fluffy bunny" brigade a lot of the time... because people don't need kicking when they're down. They need help, advice and support.
Now everyone be nice and remember to report any abuse posts or PMsDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0
