Your Equifax reports detaisl your credit history in terms of payments, ie on time / missed and any relevent facts (ie CCJ's). Whislt providers use them there is no guarantee that you'll get the problem resolved if there is nothing obvious on them. Ie If it states you missed payments and thats wrong that one thing and you can correct it, if your credit record is good then it may be another factor thats the problem.
It could be Virgin have an issue with the address, or some other matter internal to them, and they are unlikely to tell you what as to do so may reveal how they do score checks. Did you use the hotel address as your home address and someone has thought that the hotel is not generally a fixed abode as such, considering you as guests rather than the owners?0 -

Spot on mate That is exactly what has happened.The hotel address is also our home address (home is a cottage at the back of the hotel, all part of the same postcode/site but technically a different address)On the way to resolving this Thanks for the input those who responded.garth;)0
