Not really 'undefeated' seeing as the banks lost the first two court cases...

I'd say this was more like round 4

Perhaps, you're correct the first two court cases were rounds 1 & 2; the third being round 3 as you also imply.

Unfortunately, whilst the challenger appears to have won rounds 1 & 2 on judges scores, round 3 and therefore the match appears to have been lost on a technical knockout ;)

  • as far as i can see we are all still very much standing,no knockout therefore the match goes on,no whistle no end...............
missed direct debit charges, very odd, theres no pain so how come the big gain,i.e £39.00 for a letter
  • I really can't see the Banks offering to pay for the OFT's Legal costs for a second time. So unless there is someone out there with deep pockets (and we're talking several million) this will be a waste of time i.e. the OFT won't proceed again unless they can have their case funded.
  • no matter what happens this issue of banks charging £39.00 for whatever they choose is not going away, its here to stay and we are all fighting it,they charge we fight, its that simple.

The banks didn't pay for their legal expenses first time round. Where is your source for that info cos I am intrigued?

OFT paid 950,000 for their defence(City AM article which came from FOI requests last week gave the figure)

As I said in a different post yesterday, maybe we need to take the French approach. Blockade ports, burn some sheep and bring public transport to a standstill. It certainly seems to work for them. Bank charges are low ( don't ask me exactly how much ) and cheques cash the same day! Their government has been forced to back down to " People Power " on many an occasion.

Sadly i think your right, the time for talking and arguing is over, it has taken 3 years to prove and achieve precisely nothing. It's time for strong action, it's the only way things will ever change. Fear is the only thing that will prompt change in this country.

Card misuse was a term used by a number of banks for paying for goods on your card which they authorised, and were debited from the account when the account was in excess of any limit previously formally agreed.
