Help for buyer who bought most expensive pjs ever!

Hi, There was a thread a few days ago (but not on this Forum) about someone who was the winning eBay bidder of some kids pjs which cost over £100!!
See this link for the thread, including the item details:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=212958
Anyway, as you will see if you look at the thread, I couldn't ignore the plight of the poor 'buyer' and emailed her to see if she needed help (there is a possibility of shill bidding involved too).
Anyway, today she has asked for help!!! Says it was a typo and what does she do now?
Could any of you good folk have a look at the thread I've linked here, and suggest what the buyer should do? I believe she has not paid yet and is currently panicking about the amount.
I will email her this evening with your advice,
Thanks,
Coupon-mad
(P.S. yep, I know I shouldn't have got involved, Auction Interference & all that, but I couldn't let it go once it was discussed on MSE, I was worried about the bidder being ripped off by a shill bidder!).

Well if the seller won't go for a mutually agree not to proceed, she's just going to have to not pay, and take it on the chin. Yes she'll get a NPB mark, plus a neg, but personally, I think that's better than paying a ludicrous amount of money.0

report the seller & second highest bidder for shill bidding
when you look at the items bid and won by them - its all by the same seller, except for one item but the seller id of that item has a similar name to the first sellerSee the stars they’re shining brightEverything’s alright tonight0 -
Poor girl
but yes, it certainly looks like someone was taking a chance on pushing up the price. It's not even been done very well as there is obviously a link to the seller
Looks like she put in £250 instead of £2.50 and the shiller bottled out at a nice, greedy hundred quid.Just run, run and keep on running!0 -

I think it's appalling and she should be chucked off ebay.
Actually the more I read these boards the more I believe I'm really thick.
How would the seller know that the bidder had put in a wrong (high) proxy bid?0 -

they wouldnt, but they obviously just kept upping the price
the theory is to keep bidding until either you "beat the top bidder" and then withdraw that top bid or to just bid it up til you have the price you want
and you arent thick, you just see the nice honest side of people - i used to until certain ebayers hit home just how nasty they can beSee the stars they’re shining brightEverything’s alright tonight0 -
I would definately not pay, and ask why 'why-not-buy-me-one' kept bidding beyond the value of the item continuosly 12 mintues solid, raising the price from 2.50 right upto £100. Clearly it is shillbidding as she supposedly purchased from this seller before. I would just email her and say it was a mistake. Im sure the seller realises no-one would pay £101 for pjs. If she insists on you paying then state you will report her for shill bidding as 'why-not-buy-me-one' is one of her ids. Dont worry about the neg you'll receive give the seller one back.... stating 'Seller shill-bids on her own auctions'.0

Report as shill bidding; tell seller what you are doing and e-mail ebay and tell them what you have done...in suitably outraged tone. Seller is really thick pushing it that high!!0

We also have kcoxygirl's other half (?) involved in another one....coxysbulldog0

But how often do they win their "own" auctions if you understand me?0
