Barclays PPI claim still waiting for decision what to do next

In August I sent off 2 PPI reclaim to Bank of Scotland and Barclays

Bank Of Scotland agreed I was misold and last week a cheque for 4 thousand arrived

now with Barclays I have got back 3 letters, first one in Sept stated they would make a decision by end of October, In Oct I got another letter saying they are awaiting some information and still hope to have a decision by end of Oct

end of Oct I got another letter saying they at this moment are unable to give a decision, so I called them up twice since then and they told me due to the volume of claims they are back logged

so what do I do next, wait ?

Hi and well done on your success.:T:T

Realistically after 8 weeks your entitled to move on to the FOS, blimey they are defo holding this out, give the FOS a ring and explain to them your issues your having with these they may suggest to either complete a complaints form out with them, where you can download and print from their website, or they will post one.

Or, they may suggest that you write to the business to give them a timescale of yours, if you don't hear by a certain date then you will move on to the FOS.
    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm

    Complaint form here below.

    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html
You could however, give the business a ring and tell them as you have not heard, ask of when you should be hearing from them, because your about to prepare a FOS complaints form.

Good luck, please let us know how you get on.;)

thanks for reply, I am about to send this letter off to Barclays for them to make a decision by end of the year

I am replying in response to your letter dates 28th October 2009. You state in the letter you are unable to provide me with a decision on my complaint.

It has been 6 weeks since your last response, and as you are aware under FOS rules, you have 8 weeks to comply with this and provide me with a decision.

I am therefore implying that I expect a decision to be made by 31st Dec 2009 and if you do not comply to this date, I will be taking this matter over to the FOS.

    Hi there and welcome.

Then first of all you actually write to Barclays bank who gave you the loan.;)

They have 8 weeks in full to respond, and post by recorded delivery for your proof of posting.

No you don't have to send anything if you don't want to, but if you do, make sure its only the copies you send them and not the originals.;)
