Thanks for all the kind words

    OK update time

after reading reading and considering i have finaly decided to claim back my bank charges. i have worked out its about £1,500 to £2,000.

I personaly think its worth the risk as i only have the 6k loan with them which has never missed a payment and i can easy open up a new bank account. and have not bounced a DD in 7 month so they realy dont have a reason to close my acc. Its with Lloyds TSB

plus £2000 thats my HP and personal loan cleared. Or Money to pay something else

Welcome to MSE and DFW :) It looks like you're already chipping away huge chunks of your debt and if you're braving getting back your bank charges already then you're obviously made of strong stuff!

Worth noting that opening another current account NOW isn't a bad idea... that way if Lloyds DOES close your account (I hate Lloyds however so be ware - I am biased :)) then you're set and ready with another account already running :) I'd recommend A&L because that way you can't loose... you get about £50 I think if you register with them and a bit more if you use Quidco :)

    Good luck!

Kevin, perhaps it would be worth putting up an SOA? Even after reading the advice on this board, just having several new sets of eyes on it might come up with ways to help.

I agree with tawnyowl...sometimes savings can be looking you in the face and you can't see them...definitely worth putting your soa up :)
