Oh, I'll forgive you! I wanted to be singular, but it was already spoken for, so I had to become more than one:D

we [me & wife] have found it really useful to make a spreadsheet of what is going out and what wages i have coming in to make sure taht we have enough - most times we have to save the dosh a week or so before hand.

    have you tried here?

    a couple of things

internet..... shop around - you can get this cheaper for unlimited as well
mobile ..... switch to Pay as you go
Food....... my weekly bill is £150 for 5.... there are plenty on here who feed 3 for £50..... do the cupboard thingy.... ie check what you have got and use it up.
contact lenses - are these daily...... could you not wear glasses twice a week? thereby making the monthly amoutn of lenses last longer.... if they are longer usage then ignore this

you havent included anything for birthdays, holidays, property/vehicle maintenance
nor have you included anything for socialising
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)

    Right just a small update

Today i payed my rent up to date. and well got a summons for non-payment of council tax. the best part is im 1 month behind. so because of being £88 behind i just got £28 of charges. so just droped a chq around for last months this months and the £28 charges..

Atlest its one less thing on my mind

i have found loads of statements for my bank acc and found £300 of bank charges over the last few year (knew the bank acc was only gonna be a few charges).
have applyed for my CC statements know that is going to be around £1500 of charges

But all in all i consider this a good month. i never used my overdraft or CC

My plan is to once i get the money off the bank hopefully settle the motorbike off using this money + CC. So atlest i can pay more off each month rarther than the same payment. plus the APR is less on the credit card.

OK so not such a small update afterall :)

I know you are tied into a contract atm but some mobile phone shops will pay to get you out of the contract but you will have to take on another contract with them - a lot cheaper one of course. Phones 4U are quite good at handing out cash for this purpose!!!!!
