    Hi everyone -

OK, job is killing me. I work for an international development charity, so the work is interesting and fufilling but its also extreemely high pressure and at this point I have no work life ballance. I worked all day yesterday and spent all of todays afternoon in a meeting with my boss (on a sunday!!), after a week of working 11 - 12 hr days with barely even a lunch break. Though the deadline we are working on now will be over in a few days, I know this will happen again. Very frustraiting.

Life has totally gotten on top of me this month - I had lots of beurocratic things to sort last week (including my UK visa which let me tell you is a pain in the rear!), working nearly every weekend and late night, we need to move flat this coming weekend (and need to pack and clean this flat, oh my!). Why did everything have to happen in june??

So officially fell off the wagon this month. Had to buy a lot of lunches due to work madness (eventually it got so bad that my boss just bought us lunch on the company card every day as it was mad what we were spending because we didn't have time to go up and reheat our brought in lunches!), I've been taking the bus in to work instead of walking, etc. Moving this weekend, but back on track after that, I promise!

In other news, OH HAS FOUND A JOB!!! YAY! higher income, lower rent, here we come!

OK, so majorly expensive month for the following reasons:
    • OH's 30th birthday on the 6th
    • My 23rd birthday on the 22nd
    • Very expensive dentistry starting today and continuing throughout the month
    • needing to buy some things to make the new house more livable
    • My auntie coming to visit at the end of the month
    • Lots of deadlines and stress at work, which usually lifts my food bill as I end up buying lunch
I have taken a few steps to releive this a bit:
    • free student haircut booked for Monday
    • asked for the remaining furniture we need as a birthday present from my parents, got most of that covered
    • waiting for smaller items to appear on Freecylce
    • merging the birthday dos for me and OH
    • will make a few recipies I've tried regulars, will really work on packed lunches

Hey NTBY, Happy Birthday when it comes, just incase I forget to pop back although I always do read! Slumber party sounds great, I had one on my own last night, well it was just me eating a bag of popcorn but it was fun!

Aw, thank you so much Swinstie! I’m getting old, oh my!

Found out this morning that I need all 4 (!!!!!) wisdom teeth out! Eeek!

At least its on the NHS and they'll knock me out for it, for which I’m grateful.

In other news, those of you who have been reading for a while know that I've been saving up for an Asia trip alongside paying back debt. I managed it, largely through not having to put down a flat deposit and getting my old one back, and I've just booked my time off!!! YAY!!!

Now we are arguing between Nepal and India or Nepal and Thailand. I think, because of limited time, we should to Thailand and leave India for another time when we have more days to cover distances. On the other hand we need to fly through India anyway. Oh the choices....

Yes! I havent been diary-ing much recently, but we decided on Nepal and Thailand. We'll go to Nepal for about 12 days, then to Thailand where OH will stay the weekend (he doesnt have much annual leave this year), then go home and I'll stay an extra week. So exciting, I've never been to either before!

Im in a bit of a life turning point at the moment - my debt is nearly gone and I am ready to make changes in the things that have been making me unhappy. I’m applying to other jobs and looking for other internal opportunities within my current organization, which likely will take me out of the UK for a significant amount of time, and may also spell the end of my relationship. We'll see, not so happy now at the moment tbh.
