  • Morning! Have just managed to get DH to go to work. We had a late night last night, and have been very lazy this morning! My friends are taking me out to lunch so I don't have to clean up much this morning after all. I had a tidy up last night of the LR, need to do much more on the LR floor later, and I've put away dry washing up this morning.

Sat here waiting for the health visitor who was sposed to be here at flaming 11am!

Right, i need your advice, so i am going to do a poll!
Because of whats been happening i've been missing out on all the nativitys and carol concerts, the kids have been missing out on loads and i'm feeling pretty pee'd off. Today is the kids christmas sch fair. I promised jaimee and lewis we could go weeks ago, and they have been nagging me all weekend. I would have tried to get away with it and just treated them to something else when they came home normally...however, the fete is starting at 2.30pm...they don't finish sch till 3.15pm....soooo they are going to have to watch all the goings on, setting up, all the other mums and dads coming in and treating their children, other kids going to see santa etc. I am tempted to down some of my stronger painkillers and go up there in a taxi on my frame so that they don't miss out. I was going to phone the school and ask if one of the teaching assistants could help me maybe and make sure there is a chair so i can sit down if i need too. What do you all think? do you think i should be resting or should i try to go? I'm getting into a right state about it, cus all i keep thinking is if i dont go they will both be sat there watching their friends and i cant bear the thought of that :(
Right, going to catch up with the thread xxxx

Could one of their friends' parents help you out? You can give them whatever money they'll need for what you'd planned to do, and you can promise to return the favour when you're better, or make them a cake, or have their children over for tea. I think it might be too much for you, and then they'll be worrying about you - and the school might not be happy about it either.

I dont know any of the parents:confused:although one of the mums offered to take them to and from school before the sch sorted funding though so i might give her a ring if i can dig out her number and see if she is going and if she would mind letting them tag along, thanks for that, didnt even occure to me. Its frustrating because i would prefer to go in my wheelchair but i have no way of getting it down our front steps into the taxi. I can manage very well on my frame i'm just not sure if i should be going. The OT and physio's are coming out this afternoon so i think i'll ask their advice and see what they think. Why wouldnt the school be happy? x
