T-Mobile Returns Policy
Hi everyone,
Bit of advice needed here I'm afraid.
On Thursday evening I purchased a pay as you go handset from my local T-Mobile store as an Xmas present for my mother. Unfortunatly she went out and bought one for herself on Friday, so yesterday (Saturday) I returned to the store to get a refund.
I was a bit shocked when they refused this, especially as the phone and contents of the box were all intact, I hadn't even removed it from the bag after I'd bought it. Is this really the case? I was told they have a no refund policy unless faulty and had to put up with dealing with a very arrogant member of staff who basically told me that he didn't even believe my story.
I've never known of a high street store not having a reurns policy. If anyone would be able to give me some advice on this I would be very grateful.
Many thanks

It is standard that phone shops have a no returns policy, this includes taking out contracts. Only if purchased online do you have 7 days under distance seller regs.
Whilst unopened and unused it is 2nd hand and the resell value drops dramatically. And there is no legal requirement to offer refunds for a change of mind, only if an item is faulty.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0
