Cerazette problems

I love it! I have no symptoms on it, no periods either! My friend also takes it but does get periods with hers, although they are irregular. My sister is like me, also loves it and also does not have periods. I wish I had gone on it years ago!
Me too! Best thing my doctor has ever done for me.
Give it 6 months then switch if it's still not working for you.0 -
Hi all, just wanted to post again as I am still having problems! I was on cerazette til just after the new year and bled until then. I then started taking Noriday on about the 5th and stopped bleeding. Now I have been bleeding since the 9th and its nothing like the time with the cerazette, its much worse. I dont know what to do but I hate hate hate hate hate this!

Bump.
I really dont know what to do. If I go to my doctor they will say it can happen because of the pill, but I am really worrying that something else is wrong. It is just ongoing and full on and I dont like it at all. Im going through lots of womens products and its just all getting me down and I dont want to feel down because I got a new job!Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0 -
Still bleeding. So sick of this now, I was going to stop taking the tablets a couple weeks ago but the bleeding stopped a couple days before the end of the pack so stupidly I decided to start the next strip.. well Ive been bleeding ever since. Im just so annoyed by it now, it is getting me down. Im stopping them today and Im about 2 weeks into a strip. Dont know if that is bad to do but I cant go on like this, it makes me wonder if its the pills or something wrong with me because its with both cerazette and noriday now.Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0

I've been on cerazette for about six months now. not sure whether I'm a bit more emotional on it or not
but it is working fine for me.
i'd advise going to family planning rather than your GP - this is a specialist service who should be able to help you with the best pill for you. And they deffo won't dismiss you or think that bleeding all the time is just a minor annoyance!0 -

Oh I may try that then if they are better. The GP and nurse I spoke to so far about it both say its ok, but then its not happening to them is it lol so easy for them to say!
Its not just a minor annoyance no, its down right depressing at times!
I feel like a hypocondriac lmao always worrying if its something else.
My skin is really bad too. Never had so many spots! I mean, seriously, they are everywhere! I very rarely had one before these pills.Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0 -

FP will take this sort of stuff seriously. A friend of mine actually only had a heart complaint diagnosed when she went to FP - because she had period related migranes her doc kept saying that it didn't matter, she should just put up with it as a woman. The FP people raised the alarm and said her symptoms weren't normal and got her to change GP so she could be referred for tests. I've always found FP to be really helpful and sympathetic. Please please try them and abandon your doc.
Much better for smear tests too0 -
Another vote for going to see the lovely people at FP clinic - they deal with contraception all day every day and know their stuff way better than even the best-informed GP. I've had loads of problems, sore boobs, awful skin and months of bleeding, with various pills and then the mirena coil (argghh!) in the past 3 years. Currently on 3rd pack of Femodette and all ok, fingers crossed this continues. My GP is wonderful and specialises in women's health but she still recommended seeing the FP clinic as they were better informed about the various side-effects of each brand/method. I bled constantly for 3 months last spring with the Mirena so I totally understand the impact it has on your life (not to mention the money spent in Boots!) - it is so patronising to be told by doctors/nurses that it's a 'minor annoyance', it affects every part of your life and impacts on everything you do - work, social life, relationship, mental health, confidence. Please don't keep putting up with it any longer in the hope things will settle down, I did for 8 months and the FP doctor was amazed and bemused that I had persevered so long!2012 is going to be my year - bring it on!:j0

Im supposed to be having a smear but havent been able to make the appointment since Im bleeding all the time lol. Will pop down to our local FP this week and see what they say. Can you just walk in or do you need an appointment?Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0

They usually have a drop-in but you are also able to make appointments - I recommend you do this rather than sit in waiting room for hours! You should be able to find the info for your local clinics online. I live in quite a rural area so there are drop-ins in different towns on different days but I'd imagine that cities have clinics that run all week.2012 is going to be my year - bring it on!:j0
