Rude message from ebayer

this is a message I just recieved from an ebayer she has never bid on my items because I have set my prefrences to sell to U.K only, last weekend she sent me 2 messages asking if I would post to Germany I was away that weekend the 2nd message I recieved just before the listing was due to finish so didnt bother to reply no point I dont post to Germany and the item was about to end. Here is the message one for my blocked list!

Thank you for being that polite never answering my mails. You are the one from U.K who was never able to make any contact!
Maybe you are a maniac, lunatic, insane or dishumbeld or anything else!?!?!?
So keep your things and be quite happy with your strange charater-
I keep contact with the better part of U.K.
With best regards

Why do people ask about posting abroad when a listing quite clearly states UK only?

You can see if anyone has bid on your items & have been automatically blocked on your Buyer Requirements Activity Log:

My Ebay> My Account > Preferences> Buyer Requirements Activity Log .

Not that it matters, she has no right to talk to you like that. Looks like you had a lucky escape, imagine what it could have been like if you sold to her!

I hope you didnt respond. From what I can gather from a recent message that ebay sent me following a duff transaction there are people sending messages to try and get you to respond so they can get your e-mail address. Ebay specifically told me not to reply in these circumstances as these people have been tapping into user accounts (someone bought an item from me using someone elses account which is how this all came about)

  • I'd reply and tell her you sold to a much nicer person in Germany.

Oh just ignore. Her fault she missed the UK only thing. :rotfl:at the funny wording!

Here is part of message i got from ebay. Not saying its linked but just incase..:

People sometimes misuse eBay accounts by sending emails from them. In these emails, they invite you to buy or sell outside eBay, or ask questions that have nothing to do with eBay. They do this in the hope that you'll respond and give them your email address.

We strongly recommend you treat emails from this member with caution and don't respond if you hear from them again.

I have had approx 4-10 emails from Europe asking why i do not ship there, I have started now to ignore them, some of the people were getting rather rude that I would not ship outside of the UK. I have found shipping to the EU requires more paperwork and more expensive to track!

As much as the message was rude. Why did you feel the need to tell us this?

It wouldn't have hurt you to be the bigger person and politely reply to them.

Thanks, I didn't know you could view that. It makes quite interesting reading. The majority of buyers I seem to have blocked have no Paypal account.

On another note, I've probably sold more items to Europe than the UK over the last few weeks. I've never had a problem with European buyers - they seem to pay much quicker than UK buyers and 9 times out of 10 leave glowing feedback. :p

I did reply saying that I had been away that weekend and I got more abuse so I politely replied and told her I had reported her messages to ebay and a merry christmas
and I just got this back

    "Oh i am really scared!
I Told you-You are a very poooooooooooor victim of this wonderful life!
    Never badger me again!"

me badger her? Think she is delusional

and to answer your question many people post things on this forum about ebay about other ebayers and about trivial things funny listings ect, also to alert other ebayers of one to add to the blocked list she is obviously a nutter sorry if i posted out of turn !!!!!!
