the xfactor - I cant watch it tonight!!!

who on earth thought that putting people in the contestants home town amid crowds - who obviously arent watching on tv - would be good tv or incite people to phone in? sorry - but having watched xfactor from week one they have just lost me. I cant watch it - tried but after twenty mins gave up and came onto mse instead.
shame - i feel cheated but also dont like the way the emotional blackmail is being used on there. I am NOT going to vote for someone cos their family is going through hard times or they think their offspring deserves it.
stop trying to manipulate votes simon - its a talent contest and should be judged as such.

It's yet another feature they've copied from American Idol along with the group numbers and the results show interviews just after they come off stage - none of which added anything over last year.

For me, the only way to watch the final part of X Factor (from when the 12 finalists are chosen) is to record it and fast-forward through all the dross, just listening to the singers and the judges comments.

Did anyone else notice how 'staged' all 3 of Ollie's songs were, with lots of dancers?

Stacey and Joe managed just on their own - anybody would think that Simon was trying to distract from Ollie's shortcomings as a performer.

He always does this for his acts - anyone remember when he had some Scottish pipe band on for a Rod Stewart song?

I liked the comment I saw yesterday regarding criticism of the standard of English used by the panellists:

It said that criticising the standard of grammar on X factor was rather like a skunk criticising someone else's personal hygiene standards !

Something people watch when they have too much time on their hands to lose neurons.

Does anyone believe that Simon cares if one of 'his acts' wins. Simon wants the act that will make him most money to win. It makes no difference who mentors who, who's the most talented etc, it all comes down to who'll put the most cash in Simon's bank account.
