  • DD asleep so having a quick surf before running round like a loon getting some housework done.
Managed to write the main bulk of Xmas cards last night so just a few more to do :T
Just updating next years family planner/calendar with important dates/birthdays - I can't believe this year has gone so fast.

Might put some Xmas music on in a bit :D

Janiebaby - sorry to hear of your problems with your H. Hope you guys can work something out xx

Sunnygirl - Best to get your dad checked out. Hope he's OK xxxx

Bargainbird - that's a lovely scarf. why can't I knit/crochet - I can just not get to grips with stuff like that :(

Pipkin - enjoy Stratford. If DD is up to it we're going to take a tootle in the car tonight to show DS the lights (and DD if she's still awake by then ). Its nice as we can drive round all the roads etc whereas the ones in Brum tend to be in all the pedestrian areas it's not so easy to go and have a look.

    Tru - keep warm xx

csarina - sorry your H has had to retire to bed xx

NPM - I too have been wondering how you are. Hope you're OK xx

Right had better get a move on otherwise I'll be on here all day :o

  • Hi all.......thanks for wondering where I am;)
I am fine but have been really lax at posting recently.
Due to lack of funds i have been sorting out homemade Xmas presents so my life has been a round of making pickles, chilli jam, apple butter and panforte etc and the usual seasonal madness:o. Noah getting a bit "flappy" as the xmas excitement builds.
Absolutely freezing here, just back from noahs music lessons and he has now gone to his dads till tomorrow.
OH off doing an extra job and I am catching up on here with a coffee and some chocs. We were going to see Christmas Carol later at cinema with free tickets from Nectar points but I get the feeling OH cant be bothered :rolleyes:and its too cold etc. May snuggle in the house instead and watch xmas films.
I cant even afford to get to hairdresser and cant straighten my hair myself properly so am sporting my mad curls and having to go with the flo (or should that be go with the `fro)
Sunnygirl hope your dad is ok and they check him out properly.

Off to catch up with the rest of the news on here:cool:

    Good afternoon!

    Happy birthday curlytop! xx

Darned cold here today, and heating is no closer to being mended it seems! Fingers crossed for next week!

Was up and out early, took the kids half way up the M4 to hand them over to their dad, roadworks still absent so not too bad! Why oh why did he need to move 200 miles away, the driving is such a pain for everyone!

Popped into town on my way home for some wrapping paper, got a bargain in a cheapy shop on holographic paper, and also found a nice card that was funny too for ex-bf's birthday. Dropping pressie from me and those from the kids and the cards off later at his then we're off into town with mates to celebrate, will probably not drink as then won't need to stay over or get a cab home, I can drive! Besides I have to drive to pick up the kids tomorrow. Going to be hard for them to say byebye to their dad as they won't see him till after Christmas then, and it'll be the first Christmas Day when they haven't seen him at all.

Meant to be having lunch with a friend tomorrow, but may opt for large fry up and a lie in, will see how I feel and how cold it is in the morning!

OS stuff has been limited, just washing really, as DS cleared and decluttered the kitchen for me yesterday, total star and a big surprise when I got home! Sitting room needs another hoover, as we got out more lights last night and then spent ages trying to find which bulbs weren't working lol!

Going to go and jump in the bath and do my nails I think - OS pampering session for me! Will catch up in a bit whilst I dry out! Have a good day all, hugs where needed xx

  • Afternoon all

I had a lovely meal out with my family, I had veggie cheese and leek sausages, mash peas and onion gravy in a giant yourkshire pudding :D it was nice to see everyone together.

When I got back I went for a walk along the seafront. It's gloriously sunny, the tide was in and it looked beautiful. It was a tad chilly though! I'm sitting at the balcony doors watching a crazy man swimming in the dock outside  he's got awetsuit on but he must be frozen!

I've tided and cleaned everywhere except my bedroom so just going to do that now quickly, and then I'm going to snuggle up and watch 'The Holiday' on DVD to get into the Xmas mood. My friends are due at half 6 so should have just enough time to watch it.

Sunny, I do hope your dad is ok, big hugs from me xx

Blooming freezing here too, caved in and have just put the heating on, although I did get 4 loads of washing almost dry on the line. We have done a load more packing, just about done all we can now until we get a date.

I have made a big pot of soup, which we will have for tea, with lots of dried pulses in, dd and I went to Mr T and got a lovely still warm crusty loaf, so will have nice bread and butter with it.

Going to have a soak in the bath in a bit, and try to warm up.

    Stay warm everyone xx

Noahs mum, glad you are ok xx

    Afternoon everyone

had quite a productive day, OH went off to work at stupid o'clock, heard his alarm but 4.30 is wayyyyy to early to register. Got up about 7.15, tackled the ironing mountain, did 3 loads of washing, dried it and most is put away, only couple of things need ironing :j

Cleaned inside windows and re hung curtains in the kitchen after taking them down for the new window that didn't happen, still made me wash them and they look soooo much better now.Generally tidied around and then sat down at 2 with a glass of wine and started a new scarf, same wool as the hat I made last week, snow is forecast for next week and I don't do cold

Its been decided that we are having chinese tonight, am going to do lemon chicken, beef chow mein and sweet and sour vegetables, OH is back from work and now on a shopping mission.

Going to up 'anley duck tomorrow, want to get there as shops open, just got a few bits to get, and hopefully a new top or something for me to wear xmas day. Got a few pressies to wrap, am going to do that tonight watching x factor.

Happy Birthday Curlytop, hope you are having a good day.

Hope your dad is ok Sunnygirl

Enjoy the rest of Saturday everyone xx
