  • Good morning all!
Thankyou Diva, Essex Girl and Bitsy, yes I am 41 today.
Its good of you to remember as I've been such a poor poster lately-time seems to be getting the better of me at the moment.
Our un OS birthday is mcdonalds and the cinema-we are going to see nativity (had to be something suitable for littlies), though dd and I are having HM meatballs and rice for tea. Made them yesterday and wanted to eat them then.
At some point I need to erect the very nice multi feed point bird feeder that my mum has bought me (I'll be getting a nice cheque too which'll pay for the coat and boots I got a while since) as the feeding containers and lots of feed are my christmas present-its what I asked for!
DD is feeling a little sorry for herself as she had her swine flu jab yesterday-don't know how I'm going to persuade her to sit still for the second one in january.
I hope that everyone has a peaceful day-even if they are rushing round madly preparing for christmas.
    Hugs.

    Morning all

Dry, bright and chilly here but very wet - the ground hasn't been dry for days! Had another quite productive day yesterday changed 1 bed and got that bedding washed dried and put away, will do DS1's bed and our bed today. Did my food shopping yesterday and somehow missed some items and bought a few others not on the list! Will be trying to get the last of the Christmas prezzies bought and wrapped this week before the kids finish school on Friday. Was going to write Christmas cards last night but had dinner, cleared away organised pack-up for OH for today and then decided to have a bath - once I'd had a bath was in PJ's and lovely cuddly dressing gown then didn't really want to do anything except watch tv - so that's just what I did!

We're having gammon with onion sauce, egg, mash, peas and broccolli for dinner tonight and bought a leg of lamb that was on offer for Sunday lunch - I'm hoping there will be some meat left for Mon/Tues evenings dinner, if so, will do pot of gravy and re-heat meat in the oven when I get in from work whilst I prep and cook some veggies to go with it.

Much easier week this week am working locally on Monday then at the other office (only about 10 miles away) on Tuesday and Wednesday. Haven't made a Christmas cake and did intend to this year so will have to find one to buy as it's really too late to do it now. Christmas fresh meat hamper is ordered and paid for. I have one of these every year from a local butcher and it's always delish, has a fresh turkey, and another joint of meat (you choose from a list what you want), sliced gammon ham, fresh sausage rolls, mince pies, cheese, dozen eggs, cocktail sausages, chipolata sausages, and ordinary sausages, fresh sausage meat, bacon, coleslaw, tin foil, stuffing, cranberry sauce, Christmas pudding, gateaux. Maybe some other things that I've forgotten but I just go at 7am on Christmas eve when the butcher opens collect it all in a box and so I don't have to go into the local town or supermarket on Xmas eve! Have a farm shop where I can pre-order to so just go there and pick that up in a box too!

Need to go to the caravan at some point this weekend also, need to put some things in etc as we are going away the day after Boxing Day for 5 nights - we're helping to run a New Year caravan rally and will be cooking 3 course hot evening meals for approx 65-70 people for 4 nights. It's incredibly hard work but we always have a good time and this year it's worked out quite nicely as New Years day is on Friday so we will come back on that day and then still have 2 days before we need to go back to work, normally we have to go back to work the next day and I'm always still really tired.

Have to go now, keep safe and well, hugs to those that need them.

I was awake making tea at 3am this morning. Did manage to get back to sleep, been up for a while, brekkie done, load in the washer.

I did not do the Friday clean with DS2 being here yesterday so need to do it this morning. Am off to see a friend this afternoon for tea and chat.

British Gas are driving me insane at the moment. We switched over to their new smart programme. Was told to cancel theold DD's done, now they are charging me for not paying by DD. I rang yesterday and the voice on the phone said we owed them £59 how????? we paid the last bill and got a refund of £123......and the internet bill says soemthing completely different. I am going to have to ring them again today and try and sort it out...........gggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Its quite a dull morning, no fog thankfully but not worth putting the clothes out on the line, so it will be the airer in the hall again.

Omelette and salad for supper tonight, we have some winter lettuce ready in the garden will make the salad before I go out. Chicken out of the freezer to defrost for tomorrow.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Morning all :D

Curlytop HSthbdayparty-1.gif Enjoy the film I really fancy seeing it too.

Noah' Mum I was thinking about you too last night. Hope that everything is ok.

Nothing much planned for today apart from washing & drying, tidying & messing about with the christmas tree as DS3 and Susie the Labrador have been playing with it :rotfl:

My Mum is coming for the afternoon & we're going to make some mince pies for DH as he's the only one that likes them.

Lunch will be a sandwich and dinner tonight is supposed to be falafel, wedges & beans but there was mutterings in the ranks last night about falafel so they can perhaps get themselves something else blissysmile.gif and I shall make them for DH & myself.

HSarmhugs_9780.gifwhere needed and have a good day all.
  • Morning all

It is beautiful and sunny here :D

I had little lie in til 8am then spent an hour or so reading in bed :) and I finished my book. I have one more library book out but not sure whether to start it now cos I fly on Thursday so not sure if I'll read it and return it in time before I leave! Just about to make breakfast of frieds eggs on toast.

DW has been on, I've hoovered kitchen (cleaned it all last night) and now need to do lounge, bedroom , hallway and bathroom. I tidied lots away last night so just need to put away some clothes I washed and dried yesterday.

Almost my whole family are going out for lunch today for my nan's birthday (it was on Thursday) to a local pub which is run by an old schoolfriend of mine. It's my last chance to see most of family before I go on holiday so I have to take all the presents and cards with me.

Then tonight 2 of my friends are coming over for pizza, Strictly and X Factor drinkies  - hence the tidying!

After last night's shenanigans with the neighbours I'm hoping tonight will be quiet (see yesterdays thread for details!) :rotfl:

    Have a fab day all

  • Morning Chums ,the sun is out but its still jolly cold here this morning I am off to the vets with my son-in-law as the little pup need to have some shots. Then after I have dropped him back home I am off to visit my old friend in Dartford for lunch. She is 65 and she decided to have a large noisey lunch for all her friends today so I'm looking forward to that. Then I may pop in to visit my DD's inlaws who don't live too far away from there for a quick cuppa and a natter so I shall be out and about for most of the day.Hope everyone gets all that they want done its getting closer and closer to Christmas and it seemes there is just not enough hours in the day to get everything done.Right must fly ,
Take care everybody and wrap up warm if you go out.

    morning all!

Happy Birthday Curlytop!:bdaycake: I hope you have a lovely day x

jc - your afternoon of dvds and choocies sounds wonderful - wish I could come but unfortunately I'm at work:D save the Galaxy ones for me!;)

Its my long weekend at work - 32 hours over 3 days:eek: but hopefully it'll soon pass, luckily I work with a wonderful bunch of people and its a bit of a home from home there!

DH rang earlier, a bit upset as his childhood best friend has been diagnosed with cancer and has only 6 months left at best. Life is so unfair sometimes - he's only in his mid 40s.

OS things today - washing on the airer, house cleaned. The men are having pizza for tea and I'm having mine at work.

Hope you all have a nice weekend x
    Do what you love :happyhear
