At last! I've sorted it, although it's probably temporarily. I found this thread on a Dell forum and it looks common. If you want to read -

I was listening to music through my headphones last night and it was after unplugging them this happened. There's a pin or something that tells the laptop whether the sound should be going to the speakers or headphones, after wiggling my headphones in the jack I now have sound.
Should I ask Dell to look at this properly?0 -
