Not an iphone but we do have the mobile phone insurance. Made a claim this year no problem. The measure of love is love without measure0

I personally haven't made a claim on my Lloyds TSB Mobile Phone Insurance, but someone I know made a claim after their iPhone 3G 16GB fell in the toilet. A claim was made without any issues and surprisingly they replaced it with a iPhone 3GS 32GB.
I'm just wondering if anybody knows if they ask for proof of purchase as I bought my phone of eBay.0 -
when i claimed for my Nokia N82 with lloyds they asked for the reciept of purchase, it had to show the make model and imei number.0

i broke the screen so wanted it repaired, when i got it back the housing was cracked so they gave me £280 to buy a new phone.0

Even I am planning to get the similar insurance from Lloyds. Does anyone know what happens if you make a claim? I mean does your credit rating gets affected? or will the premium for the future insurance gets more expensive?0

I also have the N82 and was wondering was that based on the amount you paid for your N82 or their own evaluation?vikramrkin wrote: »Even I am planning to get the similar insurance from Lloyds. I'm not 100% sure, but from what I understand it doesn't affect your credit rating or premium for any future insurance.0 -
This is true, unless your on pay monthly then a letter from your network detailing your number and IMEI will do. I have claimed several times. Its run by Lifestyle Services group who do Barclays mobile insurance and their gadget insurance, Ive had a new laptop through their insurance, Just pay the excess and your away.when i claimed for my Nokia N82 with lloyds they asked for the reciept of purchase, it had to show the make model and imei number.
However make sure you report within 48 hours of incident otherwise they'll refuse the claim until you appeal0 -
as they couldn't supply a new the phone they gave me what play.com were selling it for, £280 , ended up getting 1 from ebay for £130 and spending the rest on a new camera lol0
