Both my sister in laws have had Ka's and one has upgraded to a StreetKa. I have driven all three cars lots of times. On every occassion its great to jump back into my 5 year old Focus.
The Ka feels too tinny to me. Even the StreetKa isn't great even though it has leather interior.
    I haven't driven a Clio.

Volkswagen Fox. Very nice. Buy with Volkswagen's PCP and you get 3 years free servicing at the moment.

Factor in the fact that the Clio got a major overhaul less than a year ago so most of the comments here will be on the old style Clio.

Get the clio, in my group of uni mates we have 5 Ka and 2 Clio.
Being the mechanically minded one i have fixed 4 KA's and no Clios, could be a unique situation but i would guess not.
Ka are the bottom of the line cheap end Ford and frankly it shows, metal showing on the inside, 3 years old and a number of them fail the MOT. Suspension failures, poor ride in general, huge problems with the Idle Control Valve!! Try driving home when the car won't idle and its a manual, coming to a roundabout you brake, change gear, car stalls and the steering locks, so restart while holding down throttle!!!, this has happened on 3 of them.
Basically they are built to last 3-4 years, granted a few do last, but lots have rust especially around the petrol cap and the brakes are terrible!!

The clio although in UK is the bottom of the range....it's actually not in Renault World, the lowest is the Twingo, thus the Clio is actually the Ford Fiesta, renault have no KA in the UK. You get a far better interior, features and better safety, including AirBag switch off. For a few hundred more and some bargaining with Renault you can get the Clio Campus Sport 1.2 16V Air Con, CD, Elec windows and remote locking with Alloys and Met Paint for £6595 OTR, drop the air con and you can get for £6100, might take some bargaining but it can be done, look online as well.
IMHO the 16v is a much better engine, but either is still better than the KAs.
If you don't mind buying a car 1-2 years old the 1.5 DCI 80 BHP Clio is a brilliant car, more economic than most Hybrids, 50 odd MPG and the power of most 1.4 petrols.
By talking Campus I assume you want the 'older' clio, which my advice is based on, not the new one, which i've yet to try.
