No thoughts coz I've never driven a Clio - but I've had my Ka for 5 years now & its been great.

Has had up to 4 hefty teenagers & little old me in it, been camping with it loads of times, wellied up & down to Scotland, over the Channel - all great.

Just had it serviced regularly and kept the fluids all topped up & no probs!

Drives beautifully - around town & motorway - I commute on M27 daily.

    Good luck whichever you choose!

I have a Clio (not a Campus though) which is great. Mine is 2 years old and is nice and reliable. Excellent fuel consumption, low tax etc etc. Also a decent amount of space in the back and boot.

Rather than entry level in these models, better to go up spec in Kia Picanto.

There are even (although small amounts) being offered now!!

I know nothing of the mechanics or reliability of either vehicles, BUT as the ka is the ugliest thing since John Merrick! I say go for the Clio :rotfl:

The Clio is highly rated in reviews. It seems to beat all the other cars in its class, even the Honda Jazz.

I have a Clio and it is a good reliable little car with good fuel efficiency and low tax/insurance costs. However my little darling is currently costing me lots of money and I am going to trade it in. A lot of wear and tear things have been going wrong with it - this is mostly because I do a high mileage and a lot of motorway driving which I don't think a little hatchback is cut out for.

Other than the recent problems, it has been a really good little car.

  • Both great - clio more room and Renault do better finance packages. Haggle hard. Ka better to drive but clio prob more comfortable. Ka boot is not very useful.

The Ford KA I owned for 4 years was probably the worst car I ever had.

I read so many good comments about the car that I sometimes wonder that maybe had a duff one, but it had so many faults mechanically that I can't imagine that it was a one off.

Also, by the time it was four years old it has rust problems which I discovered were 'known issues'.

And as for the Ford dealer... pah!

I'd buy a Renualt if it was my money!
