We currently have a basic sky box and pay £20 per month for the subscription. I have previously received a letter saying we would be entitled to free sky+ box if we take out mulit room.
We are having the keys to our new house on 4th januaryand i want to get sky+ broadband and phone through sky as it would work out cheaper than what im currently paying however i dont know how the best way to go about this is. Do I cancel current package and say cant afford to have sky yet due to moving costs then reapply as a new customer in a few weeks or do I ring them and take my package over. The house we are going to move to does have a sky dish already installed so I could plug our exsisting box in just to get the free channels for now
What I really want to know is which is the cheapest way of doing it as i feel I have paid a lot of money to sky already without costing more for moving house.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

It's,what,£60 for house moves so best bet is to cancel & then take out a new sub in your partners name at your new address, that way you'll get new kit.Contact Sky & get the ball rolling asap, after christmas is very busy time for ISP's sorting out the faults or installs backed up from christmas.
Word of caution tho, check out the existing dish has little or no rust around the brackets at the back.
I had my dish installed when Sky digital first came out, still the same one.My neighbour below who's been here about 8 years,is on his 3rd.0 -
If you get Sky at your new house under a different name they will automatically give you a new dish.
My daughters partner had Sky a few years ago, emigrated and came back this year. He recently took Sky again as a new subscription and they replaced the dish. If you dont trust this, just take the dish down and chuck it.
I have had Sky for years and have no problem with it. the Skyplus is great.
Wouldnt be without it now.
What i would suggest when you ring to order your new sub. haggle, haggle, haggle.
You can also pay your line rental now to Sky instead of BT which is about £1 a month cheaper.
If you haggle (and let them think they talked you into it youre likely to get 6 months or more of
half price or even free line rental
Good luck and let us know how you get on.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
think I will subscribe as a new customer then thanks for the advice0
