I just hope they don't start it after the order has been delivered, as I'm not sure they'd have to refund the delivery cost that they added on after the fact.

  • Right, now I am no expert but here is my take on this.

A price glitch in the system is one thing. They either fix it and say no stock to fulfill orders, or they send the items out and thats that.

Use of a code is another. There are stories on here where Woolies and catalogues have been known to take back the amount deducted from codes up to 6 months later. It is in their terms and conditions about improper code use, and it isnt their responsibility if the automated checkout processes codes they later find out are not valid.

So if you recd duvets at £2 each I would take this to be the first scenario.

If you recd 2 duvets for £0.05 I would take this to be the second scenario. But worse case is they demand the £3.95 delivery back from you.

I have myself used both on orders placed so I am not judging or having a go !

As I stated previously, it is clearly in their t&cs about misuse of codes. Their system doesnt always register and therefore they cover themselves in the small print.

Lots of stories on here if you search.

Worth a try but doesnt always pay off
    VR repayment  £404  £156.02 PAID
    Airpods repayment £249 £185 £75.90 PAID
    Airpods repayment £144 £99.01 PAID

    Capital One £1400
  • i had 4 duvet sets.... at £2 even if i got to pay the postage it only adds just under £1 each... so even at £3 they are a total bargin and i will not be complaining....

I needed new duvet sets anyway..... so its not as though i was ordering them just for the sake of a glitch...

as if thats the case doesnt matter how cheap things are you are buying things for the sake of it, and where is the money saving in that:confused:

a bargin is only a bargin if you wanted the things in the first place.....

just received sets i ordered yesterday. very pleased with them. tried for the 5p bargain offer- said 5p was being charged on verified at visa screen but have rang bank today to find £4 has been charged. i dont mind though, i've got them in as my take on holiday sets. i've got 6 duvet covers for £12, its still less than i'd pay for the linen charge each time i go away. - i could even bin them afterwards for that money to save me washing them! :)
    thanks op!

  • My order was delivered today and I'm very pleased. Two double duvet sets and as far as I can see they have only taken £4 from my card. Thanks OP! :)
