I had a baby 4 months ago and even though i work I was still entitled to the £500 grant....you cant claim this until 11 weeks before your due date, your midwife will have to sign a section of the form for you.
You can also get the health in pregnancy grant this is a one off payment of £190, every pregnant women is entitled to this once they are at least 25 weeks pregnant, your midwife should give you the form and sign it for you.
Hope this helps, congratulations on your pregnancy!!0 -
:rotfl:Think about what you have actually posted, if this was the case every couple who claim benefits would be better off living apart. They are a couple and as such will be treated as a couple for benefit purposes. If they don't live together it isn't fraud. You can be a couple without having to claim together.*SIGH*

You know that they meant, couples not living together as in set up a home. I know you did.0 -
As long as there is no regular living together, that may result in a compliance visit, then as mentioned it is possibly that the OP would be better off single in rented accom.
If they are serious about living together then would figure that they should get WTC (if the partner does more than 16 hours pw) CTC, CHB and wages. It may be possible to still get some LHA and CTB depending on the amount received. However debts will not be included when assessing entitlement and therefore any income may be reduced by those payments.Nothing to see here :beer:0 -
 will someone think of the children!*SIGH*

Except then they wouldn't be living together. Yes they would be better living apart but that is a point well debated. So the minute you meet someone you start claiming together if on benefits? When exactly first date? second? Bit of a pain if you are in a long distance retaionship eh!
I think it may be you who needs to think about what they've posted tbh.0 -
Also just for the record i'm not saying that this what the op should do.0
