Child tax credits which is about £50 a week and child benefit which is £20 per week. You wont be able to claim anything towards rent. How meny hours does your partner work?

It rather depends on the partners income. But definitely the £20 child benefit and approx £20 a week child tax credit for the child's first year. Your DLA will not be affected.

You will be assessed on your partner's income but his debts won't be taken into account.
  • hi

you'll get nearly £19 child benifit

child tax i dont know as i work so i will be different to you

you should apply for a sure start maternity grant - thats £500

if you and your partner live together then you will be assesed together. it doesnt matter what bills you pay they only take into account what you earn.

you would be entitiled to more as a single parent so maybe you and your b/f shouldnt live together untill he has paid his debts off??

you might be able to get your own place from the council as you would be eligible for housing befifit and council tax benifit

your health visitor will be able to give you more advice on grants, healthy food grants, milk/formula discounts ect

    good luck!

Oh come on, DX2 was not asking a question, merely pointing out that what the other poster said is tantamount to fraud.
