  • Won £10.00 on BingoBritain yesterday so thats £5 profit out of my initial £5 deposit and joined Ruby Bingo this morning, got free £16 joining bonus (no deposit required) and was down to my last £2 when i won £14.45!! Have requested withdrawal so will see what happens.

Have also spent the last couple of days decluttering the house and photographing things ready to put on ebay. I also have a box full of old cross-stitch magazines from years ago when I used to cross-stitch, anyone know if these would be worth putting on ebay and if so would i be better listing them individual or as a few job lots?

Thanks to everyone who has posted ideas and encouragement, good luck everyone!

  • This is a seriously amazing thread. Please will you add me too. I am going to go for the full amount.

Just got started with a couple of unwanted christmas presents. I am also still selling my rather enormous collection of a certain 80s toy :j. I have set a spreadsheet up to deduct all the annoying fees and work out my profit. I am working off the concept of, if as of today I own it, then it will class as 100% profit.

I am going to have to think about buying to resell because of the tax implications. I think I am going to have a big clear out of our belongings first and then think about it from there.

So far £10.30 minus a couple deductions.

Have a look at what's on ebay already - and what seems to be selling.

I would imagine for cross stitching which is very popular you will make more money individually, but it will be more work. In either case be careful of postage costs

    good luck

Istarimoneta - re cross stitch magazines - I've had a Christmas issue (with front cover free gift) on Ebay since November - listed at 99p - absolutely no takers.
I have also had 2 lovely graph cards (bigger than A4) of small motif designs for Christmas - no interest.
Perhaps sell them in your local free paper? I'm thinking of that - want to get shot of my bits!
    Good luck with it all!

  • mark88man & Mrs Money - Thanks for your replies, had a quick scout through ebay and noticed that most of the magazines had no bids so I think i might save these for the car boot instead, hopefully might make something on them then.

Whoo hoo! Joined Dooyoo, done 2 reviews and got 2 ratings already. Not much, but if I can do a couple a day I'll get there in the end.

DH has returned from work and shown me the holes he has drilled for jump rings in some of my jewellery bits and they are looking mighty fine.

Off to do 150 direct mail items for my proper job, in the hope that I can get some fun stuff done this evening.
  • It seems to me (and please please correct me if I'm wrong) that it would be best to BUY things off ebay to sell at carboots. From my limited knowledge of carboot sales, flea markets and charity shops, items seem to sell for more there than on ebay. Especially CDs and DVDs. Or have I got it the wrong way round?!
