Won another £25.00 on bingo britain yesterday.
Picked up some more reduced Christmas stuff from B&Q and Aldi, so spent another £23.81. The idea behind this is that towards the end of September I will hire a stall at DD4's school autumn fair, and sell it all for at least double what I have paid. If anyone else wants to try this Aldi have some very cheap wrapping paper. E.g. Disney 8 metres (I think, might be 10) for 49p. Or just stock up for yourself. Now if I can stop the children all moving back home or moving other people in I should have room to store it untill then.
Also I have a friend who is interested in doing a car boot or two next year, but doesn't want to go it alone. I have offered to join forces and halve the fees.
Can somebody remind me please how to do the signature thing so I can keep a tally of spends/profit. Thanks.
mumtoomany.
If bingo britain anygood then? I used to play gala.£10,000 in 2010 = £00 -
I've been signing up for that much opinion poll stuff on-line & entering their comps. I just got in & the phone went - a guy from USA reckoning I've won a holiday to Florida, but needs my details. I told him to phone back in about an hour as I have animal stuff to run around and do - which I do.
Is this a con do you think? The guy started talking about - you do have a VIsa Electron card - now I never divulged that on-line. I think they'll be after money off me, he said it was in connection with Hilton Hotels - does anyone know if this will be a scam or not?
Thanks beforehand - off to feed & water sheep now.
i would give him no information whatsoever, especially if he asks any questions as above i would just say that your banking arrangements are none of his business and thanks for the holiday can they confirm all details in writingskintbint x

.sounds like some sort of con/scam... If you had won a free holiday, then there is no need to give card details for any sort of payment..
also i have noticed that alot of people are using the american voice thing to disguise where they are really from, normally india etc....
If they phone back, just tell them to put everything in the post, to the address supplied in the competition...;)Work to live= not live to work0 -
I've had a great time reading through all your ideas and encouragement and I'd like to join in too please.
I've started a mini challenge up with my sisters and mum - we all have to spend £10 on something over the next week and we have 2 months to make what we can with it. Everyone's a winner hopefully, but hoping the little bit of competition will push us all on to unsuspected heights
Not decided what the winner gets yet - probably the privilege of cooking tea for the rest of us!!
Mum's never sold on eBay before so I think this may help her lose her fears about it. Who knows, we might all be thousand-aires by the end of the (next) year.
Got ideas buzzing round in my head - first thing is to investigate Quidco I think - not heard of it before but sounds good.
Thank you all :jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -

Teabythesea, if ever you want to see how things are selling search in ebay for the item, in this case 'pumpkin patch' then search for completed items. You will be able to see items that have completed and how much they went for it anything. Not an exact science but it will give you a fair idea.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000 -
Just thought I'd post again since I'm feeling very motivated! Sold another book on Amazon today, and won £20 on Bingo Britain on my first day! However since I mucked up the withdrawal rules I'll only profit from £14 of it! Oh Well, £14 I didnt have this morning! Also joined So Bingo but no such luck on there, didnt win a bean.
Think I'll go and photograph some more of my junk to go on Ebay, keep up the excellent work everyone!Make £10K in 2010 Challenge - £82.02 :TThink wealth not debt!New Comper - lets see what 2010 wins me!! :j0 -
Brilliant, inspiring thread please can I join the challenge:j0

Thanks - The guy phoned back & was soooooooo gushing & whooping - he said that he'd put another guy on & asked 'wasn't I excited?' I wasn't as we've had a hell of a day & I'm a complete cynic. It's a scam & he ended up putting the phone down on me when I started to ask questions.
They've definately got my number from one of these opinion forms I've filled in on-line as we are ex-directory. It's called Florida Resort Ltd & comes through on an international number - I have caller display, but all that comes up is International number - the number is not available if you do a 1471.
They tell you you've won & then it turns out after loads of hype that it's a discount holiday & you've qualified for a florida holiday & cruise which you have to pay towards, but the way they go on it takes a while to unpick it especially if you have things that urgently need doing.
