Its not a super dooper spreadsheet mind you, but just a basic one to start off.£2022 in 2022 - £1042/£2022

OK, think I may have simplified this.
- I started with £87.05 instead of £100 (I think, and worked this out by the following)
I spent £10.38 on Charity shop stuff
I spent £19.27 on Ebay fees so I could list
This left £57.40
I spent £17.73 on an item to re-sell, which sold on ebay BIN for £23 and I was paid into PayPal which was negative -£22.01. So now I have a penny in payPal. (think this is whats messed things up)
This left £39.67, I think.
I spent a further £12.98 on an item to re-sell
I have £26.69 left in the account I am doing the buying and selling from.
Anybody any clue what P/L I am at?
I am making my confusion worse I thinkLive for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0 -
Eyesparky, I know what you mean!
As i haven't yet managed any listings and sales on ebay ive been putting it offBUT, the intention is to go down the route you're suggesting which is one dedicated page per revenue stream (ebay/amazon/play) with each item individually listed with its income and relevant costings and fees .
anyway got a blank set up now! woohoo! (i think?!)
P.S. pm'ed you!

After having spent a good bit of time today searching for a link I'd seen in this thread somewhere, and the same a couple of days ago, my OCD-ish tendencies made me put together a sheet of all the links posted so far that might be of use in the future without me having to trawl through so many posts.
I hope it will be of use to someone else too, so I'm going to post it. If I've missed anything that you think should be on there, please let me know, and likewise if I've put anything on that really shouldn't be on, I'll take it back off again.

Leave the Paypal issue money out of it (i.e. reduce the amount you have put into the challenge by this amount as it went to Paypal not your starting fund). For gross profit take all your costs of purchases and purchase and listing fees away from the new starting balance ... sorry I haven't got the breakdown I did before in front of me and my brain is getting somewhat tired. I put a starting figure in that post. Let's not start introducing overhead costs, heat, light etc at this time of night or my brain will cave in. try and keep it as simple as possible for now, starting with the proper introduced money figure and keeping a record of all outgoings and all income. these can be added up once a month say, any fees invoiced from ebay etc. can be taken off and a month figure can be arrived at. Do this month by month and a year will pop out of it at the end. At this point you can pull out overheads etc. and arrive at a year total. ... Oh sorry, that turned into an endless waffle. Hope some of it makes sense
