They had soft fluffy reindeer socks originally £2.50 each for 50p. Have bought 20 pairs and hopefully sell them next year for a min of £1.50 each and then people still think they have a bargain
Also soft cat sparkly socks for the same price and bought 20 of these too
So hopefully £40 profit sitting in the cupboard for next christmas.
clever idea sally - thinking back there were a load of baby raindeer/halloween costumes at £1.00 and 50p at tescos:rolleyes::rolleyes: and i should have got them - obviously i didn't read this thread earlier enough - doh0 -
Well hello all, not posted too much on this thread but been reading it at least once daily from the start! Just thought I'd give you an update, ive got 5 items on ebay put them on today for 10 days so will finish sunday week, hoping that I will sell them all, 3 of them are bits from my house the other 2 i bought for a £1 each so need to make a profit! Ive also spent my £100 starting monies on various random bits, Ive bought new bits in sales and hoping to make another £100 from it all, just waiting for it all to arrive!
It's taken a lot of time to find these bits and I was thinking today that I will probably start going to charity shops to try and pick up a few bargains to sell on ebay. Have looked at buying wholesale but I just cant seem to find the right products to buy which will sell well, so think i will just plod along for now! Anyway thanks all for all your info its been great and im feeling positive.0 -
I managed to list 21 items on Ebay today :j
Have a BIN listing that's being watched by no less than 48 people! Wish someone would just BUY it, instead of watching it though :rolleyes:0 -
craftynutters wrote: »just looked on ebay because i have loads of books to get rid of can anybody tell me whats happening with the p&p some sellers have it classed as freight and others are free whats the best to do have a starting price to include p&p costs or charge freight costs?
I think the postage on books is supposed to be free, so obviously you need to make sure you get enough in to cover the postage and packaging. Some sellers say freight ... not sure yet what the situation is with this ... need to do some more research as to what is going on."I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. Currently debating whether to sell my second car. I've not used it since the MOT ran out in September, but its not costing anything sat there. Not even depreciation.
I'm really torn, theres enough money in it to allow me to move but the current climate is wrong and I've put a hell of a lot of effort into getting it where it is and even then its far from perfect
Car in question is a '71 morris minor traveller and worth approx £1200 on a good dayProud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0 -
I went through my excess craft supplies and started up a supplies store on folksy (I already sell my craft work on there) - so I'm clearing the junk as well as adding to the balance- bonus! :rotfl:
I sold three of my old computer games on Amazon too in the first phase of decluttering the house, so I'm happy. I'll sort the others I want to ditch shortly, the start going through the books. This thread is a great inspiration, thank you all
I have a commission for a wedding cake in April
I also designed a kitchen gadgety thing which I am in the first stages of testing at the moment - it might not work, but no harm in tryingWill keep you all posted on how that stuff goes - might be a while before I get it perfect enough to sell though!

moneymakestheworldgoround wrote: »Trying to sell a black Nintendo Wii - not for profit unfortunately ! A relative refused it as a Xmas pressie and said I had spent too much. So I gave them some socks instead !!
I have listed it on ebay but no takers. Thought as brand new in box unopened it would have sold but hey ho.
Anyone know of other places I can sell it ? Dont like the idea of freeads or gumtree due to people coming to the house. Might seem a bit dodgy if I asked to meet in a lit car park !
Any ideas please?
I have to say any dealings I have had on gumtree have been fine. People may think there is something suspect about meeting in a carpark. I centainty wouldn't meet in a carpark to buy something. One advantage wih gumtree is that there are no fees.
Hope you sell it and retrieve your money.0 -

not sure what quantity you would be looking, but i find Poundland are very good with jiffy bags, £1.00 can get say 5 jiffy bags (dependant on size)
but apart from that i will be keeping my eyes open for cheap packaging alsoThanks to all who post comps :T0
