    Hi,

I did look at this thread when it first started up in Dec but it didn't seem like something I'd be able to do... but I have been reading it and have decided to give it a go... I know I'm a bit late starting but I hope it's alright.

I've not got any huge ideas at the minute, and I don't have £100 spare as my outlay, but as and when I spend the money I will make a note of it so I know what's gone/left. (It might end up spanning over a few pay days!)

    Hope that's okay, thats skintbint.

    sweet x

I joined dooyoo and did 5 reviews, so i think that is £2.50 in my pot.

I still haven't touched my £100 yet, as i have no idea what to buy with it? I can see there are some people on here that are quite clued up on Ebay, would you be able to let me in on what sells and what to stay away from. I'm struggling to even use there search option!

    Thanks
    V

The ebay forums are a mine of information for new sellers and existing. They have a specific sub forum for new sellers, so make yourself a hot drink and set to reading. Once you are registered, there are also lots of helpful people knocking around there too should you have brain meltdown and need a bit of hand holding. I am currently relearning the site as plenty has changed since I was last active (more fees, less seller protection etc) but it is all part of the game. Have fun and don't feel time spent lurking on forums and learning is at all wasted. :)

I did it! Well one, anyway - I've listed something on Ebay!! :j
Was dithering whether or not to save it on Turbolister but I'm not really used to it yet so I thought oh get on with it and put it on now :D

Have you done any yet? And what do you think, is it any use using some generic image of the other thing - which would describe it just as well but might not attract as many buyers as an actual photo I've taken myself? And am I even allowed to do this

Thanks nellis10, I actually feel better for that! And well done everyone elso :T

I have just about figured out Turbolister too. Though I had a similar experience to an earlier poster on here.

Probably me ... on doing a little research on the ebay forums, quite a few people are having issues. Many of the larger scale sellers use paid for services they claim work better for them. One person recommended downloading the US version instead, listing UK as a selling destination and using it instead as they have ironed out more of the bugs on that version. I have downloaded a new update to the software, so perhaps that will improve a few things in the UK version. I think I will list a number of things offline and spend some time really making sure I am happy with everything and not missed any details etc. before I deploy listings from it. Keep on pushing :).

Changed my "found" Euros, bought some books that may have a few quid in them (if I can stop myself from keeping them ... you can never have enough books on over the counter derivatives I say ). So, with pending sales and some money coming in from Amazon I am edging towards the starting line :rotfl:.

  • For those of you who've got your own websites, dont forget money you can make from advertising on them! Sorry its not something I know an awful lot about but I have seen posts about it on the Up Your Income thread in the past so may be worth a search?
