£10,000 may seem like a large number but by setting yourself a really difficult task and actively pursuing it, you will push yourself outside of your comfort zone and hopefully trigger inspiration that will lead you beyond where you currently think you can go. Give it a whole hearted try and you may surprise yourself. Good luck, although you don't really need it, as you have the potential to achieve your targets within your own capabilities."I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. Well done everyone, it's so inspiring. You're right Eyesparky, this could be life-changing for some. The only thing limiting you is yourself - the sky is the limit!
Well I'm off the starting blocks, one book sale on Amazon for a grand total of.....................54p :rotfl:
But I haven't spent any of my £100 yet, I need to wait until I get paid on the 25th, but I too have been researching my idea and making a plan.
I'm feeling positive, so thanks once again Bing0 and all. Keep up the good work :T0 -
would love to be added to this list please
i used to do a lot of ebay selling, am just about to resurrect that business, to be treated as self employed again, my initial purchase of items which i am awaiting was roughly £100 so that is my starting block.
Does it count if i have sold one or two of my own items, i suppose it does as it says no rules, as just listed a couple of items on ebay that are selling, so that will be a start for me.
i do overtime however, i have decided not to include any overtime in my challenge figure, just anything earned on top of income from normal work, so hope to get things selling on ebay, hope to get things sold on car boots, hope to sell any larger items locally, a lotto win would be nice (any) as all these things i will include in my 10k challenge total.
good luck everyone, will be fun trying (and god knows i need the extra money to pay off the new car i have recently purchased)Thanks to all who post comps :T0 -
Great posts eyesparky and macgirl, what they are saying is so true! Go for the £10k, try everything you can think off, push your limits, even if you dont hit the magic £10k mark you still might come very close so you simply cannot be a failure at this challenge, any amount extra you take in is a sucsess story as its x amount you wouldnt have had if you didnt take part! Make the most of your time and the rewards could simply be astonishing, this challenge is 1 of my main ones for the forthcoming year and it will be life changing for me as im going to give everything iv got and stop at nothing to hit that magical £10k mark! So what if i fall a bit short il still be alot better off and in a better position than i ever have been and its also a learning experience, what you learn from this, could make it possible for you to smash the £10k mark next year, you just have to make the most of what you have got!Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Don't knock it ... 54p is a killing. Actually, it could be my 54p as I have been buying today ... wouldn't that be funny. Keep up the good work.

This is just the thing i have been looking to do for 2010 and now with the sort of advice and help i can get here think it will help me out. Thanks for the little push already feeling i can do.:o2010 comp winsTurn £100 into £10k challenge £0/£10k member 2540 -
Anyone shovelling snow for extra pennies? Money to be made there! Took my dog out, snow is right up so only her head is above the top of the snow its so deep. Cute little staffie iv got but fully grown, the snow really is deep!
I shovelled snow just to be a good person, cleared in front of my house and the neighbour's, out of the goodness of my heart ... totally pointless, obviously, as there is now another foot of snow nicely settled and no indication that I had ever been there :rotfl:. Oh well, cheaper then gym membership ..."I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." — Confucius0 -

You should be added when the "list keepers" do their mysterious magic. If they miss you by accident, just pipe up again and they should slot you in. Glad to give the push ... now just need to do the same thing to myself. I am having one of those "everything I do gets undone" days so far ... but the day is young and bureaucracies yield to effort eventually ...
