Thanks for your replies. Would prefer to do Avon TBH but am put off by admin fee and paying for books. Don't you also have to earn a certain amount before you start to get commission?

I did kleeneze for a nearly a year when I came back for travelling and I have to admit I really enjoyed it and was making nearly £200 a week, The leg work was the hardest part but when I was doing it I was allowed to work anywhere so I chose areas that looked good for delivering (Not big houses with long drives).
I was only shouted at once by one silly old man who ended getting the back of my ................ sharp ended wit !!!!!

I had a fantastic upline who gave to me loads of gear to get started and always helped out when he could.

I quit in the end as I found a full time job and was unable to do both but I would consider it again.

    hope it helps.
  • Actually have experience of both Betterware and Avon; actually prefer the latter but that's probably because the products interest me more (and I get to put the orders in online rather than the rather antiquated way B do it i.e. fill in a sheet manually, extend out each column, then add up all the columns individually and then a summary!)

B entails more work (240/300 books a week to hand out and collect back in - probably only get half of them back) but you do earn more so horses for courses and all that.

Both A and B have their 'lovers' and 'haters'; it's just a matter of finding the former (in both cases). Once you have established people who like the product you're selling then it becomes easier.

Feel free to PM me if you have any other queries; am heading out now and don't want to make this message too long.

    Good luck, whichever you choose.
Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon ;))
  • I too worked as a Betterware agent fo a couple of months, it wasn't worth the effort. Avon was better, IMO.

    Cheers, HG

Can you tell us why Avon was better?

How often do the Betterware catalogues come out? Do you just keep on delivering/collecting/re-delivering catalogues until the next one comes out or do they overlap like Avon seems to?
    Sorry for all the questions!

One huge advantage of Betterware (my oh did it for 4 years), is that unlike Kleeneze you get a dedicated area. No one else can drop catalouges in to your customers.

The catalogues come out every 6 weeks, so you plan your streets so they are done once every 6 weeks. I wouldn't advise doing the same street with the same book as it's not really going to help. If you saturate the customer with the same books over and over, then drop a new one in a few weeks later, it's unlikely you'll get good results.

Our bettaware distributor never gets any orders from us as the catalogues are dropped one evening and have to be ut out the next day.

By the time we've realised it is there it is too late to look through. I'd tell him but I cba.

I meant redelivering to different houses- didn't word it very well! So say I drop 100 catalogues , collect them and get some orders would I then order the items from Betterware? Or do I wait until I deliver more catalogues- just a bit confused as to how it works.
Youll have to start a Betterware thread Orenthal like the Avon hints and tips one!

Most distributors are not told how many days they should leave it, as it's totally upto them. I agree with you completly, one day is just not enough.

I give mine out on a Saturday or Sunday and they're picked up Tuesday or Wednesday respectively. Give your customers time :)
