My cat has 'unwrapped' her cat nip toy from under the tree well before Christmas day on one occasion. Didn't take her long to sniff out LOL

I don't always buy presents for pets, but my DD is very keen to buy the cat and rabbits presents this year. I have to admit they have very cute xmassy rabbit toys in Pets at Home.

Nope, it's a dog! And the options are a bit limited as she can't have many treats due to colitis and can't have most toys due to her destructive tendencies.
However she always gets a prezzie off my mother who thinks I'm very mean.

The cats get a couple of toys, because they are spoiled. The dogs simply are happy that we are all at home not bizzing about doing stuff and they get the whole day with us.

Funny stories? We usually have to do the horse's between main course and pudding....and we usually wear evening clothes. So running across a field in wellies holding a dress up and buckets, trying not to get clothes muddy all ways has me giggling.

I am preferring just to buy Noah toys all year round, he doesn't know it is Christmas and it's an expensive enough time of year.

    :rotfl:hope you don't slip over!

Our dogs get xmas pressies and they love ripping the wrapping paper off. So far they only have a ferrety looking soft toy that i got at a charity shop for 50p and i still need to find another suitable victim next time i'm in town. I'm also going to have a go at making them some dog biscuits.

My cat had more fun diving in and out of boxes and wrapping paper last year than any present! She is a really lazy cat, and just doesn't play with toys at all, unless it's string, or a light! I'll get her some of those cheese and chicken whiskas temptations. She goes barmy for them. Her eyes go huge, and she jumps up on me and digs her claws out, ow ow ow.

The kitten will probably get the same as her, but he will also get some turkey, the other cat will not eat food in a cooked state, and isn't keen on raw chicken thighs either, too much effort for the lazy moo.

I made the cat a rather fetching tinsel collar last year that lasted, oh about 3minutes. I'm sure she enjoyed it though :D

My dog has her own little christmas. She has a pet cracker. Some special christmas dog treats and will have her own christmas dinner. Also a new toy which will not last past lunch time. I know the dog doesn't really care aless but its still nice to involve them.
  • We've bought each of our three dogs a stocking from the pound shop that has a few chewy sticks in and 3/4 toys - probably only last them 5 minutes - but DD insisted:D
Light travels faster than sound - that's why you can see someone who looks bright until they open their mouth.
  • Ooooooh of course they do :D They're members of our family and it's christmas for us so it's christmas for them too lol.

The dog has a stocking that we bought at pets at home, along with a soft toy - he loves em, and has only been able to have them recently, as our other dog (sadly passed away) used to rip them to shreds.

The two hammies have a chew stone thing, and a book that they like to shred.

The four rabbits have some assorted willow toys, they love em. PAH do do some really cute rabbit toys, I bought mine the christmas pudding chew hangy thing as their old one was destroyed...but they might be getting some of the willow decs too :D

We've been buying for a while now though, so it's not too much of a fanancial strain. It's great seeing them play though.

As for funny stories, well, our Yorkie, Minnie (the one who passed away), could sniff out a vinyl toy from a mile away. Her present would be hidden in my parents wardrobe til Christmas day, and any time it was open, she'd go and sit in it, and refuse to come out unless tempted with a chewstick! Christmas Eve, and she'd stand guard under the tree and wouldn't come to bed. But, she'd only open it once someone had actually handed it to her :rotfl:

There are about 6/7 wrapped presents under the tree for the dog. A mixture of toys and treats.
He has a stocking for them to go in too, can't have him feeling left out.
Will prob do some salmon or something for his christmas dinner too. But I think I'm a bit mad.
