problems with o2 please help!

hi guys

my gf has been with o2 for about 4 months now and in that time she has not received a single bill either paper or email, nothing at all

and yes they are still taking money out each month for the bills however this is quite a bit more than just the line rental however having never received a bill its a little hard to know if she is actually going over her allocations

so basically she wants out of her contract, now im well aware that its pretty much impossible to get out of a contract but im woundering if mayber her having never received a bill at all might in someway constitue a breach of contract or something similar?

i am fairly sure that she's not gone over her allocations also which makes me wounder where all the extra money being charged has come from, as with o2 she has more txts and mins allocated than on any of her previous contracts and she has never gone over before, not even come close and she also has unlimited web use as well so that cant be the cost

any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated

also im not entirely sure she actually has a contract to look over as the deal was done over the phone, should they have sent a paper copy of the contract? can we call and demand a copy of it?

Thats no reason for being able to cancel a contract.
She probably is on non paper billnig - register the mobile online and you probably can view your bills.

You can find a copy of the contract on the O2 site or, I think, you can request one.

As Mr ADay says above, the odds are she's on online billing, I think it's the default these days.
  • I'm with O2 and they have gone to paperless billing. Although they will send you a paper bill if you request one.

You should recieve a letter with login details. If they haven't created an account for you you can check what you have used by sending a blank text to 21202 this will show you the minutes, texts, and data you got left and anything you have been charged for.

This information is straight from the letter they have sent me with my login details.

    Hope this helps.

My council never send me a council tax bill, can I get out of paying it?

Have you actually phoned up to check the email address is correct? Or logged in online to view the bills there?

When i changed to o2 for the iphone nearly 18 months ago, i never got a bill via e-mail or paper... after a few months, i rang them on the customer services number, checked all my details, and since then I get an e-mail every month telling me what they will take out, and I can go online to double check and look at my bill..

it's probably because they have a wrong e-mail address or no e-mail address..

Log in details are automatically text to you, but if they didn't come through there was nothing to stop her phoning up to get the details tomorrow :)

  • just out of curiosity what would be classed as a reason to cancel the contract early without having to pay it off? as far as im aware there's pretty much no way to do it but just wanted to know if anyone had managed it
