I've got to agree, there was some miscommunication as iwanttosave points out but 02 have CS agents have done what they can.

Your contract will clearly state your Call, Text, Data & Roaming allowence.
It will also state you will be charged ontop of your monthly line rental amount for anything used over those limits at the detailed rates in the contract.

If you were already told that you had gone over your limit, why on earth did you continue to use the phone!?! It was obvious at that point you were been charged for exceeding your usage and should have stopped or been prepared to pay out.

If the tariff does not suit your usage you should have picked a different tariff to begin with, or have made amendments to the tariff if possible. If you need x amount of texts/calls and cannot get them as its an 02-CPW tariff would it be cheaper you pick up a 2nd £20-30 contract and use them both?

Yes, it does state it. The problem lies that I was told I'd get unlimited txts (I rang up to add them on. Had to go to a higher tarriff to get them) then didn't, and have incurred charges because of it.

Debt so far: Natwest Overdraft -
    [STRIKE]£1250[/STRIKE] £0, Barclays Overdraft - £1500
    , Abbey Overdraft -
    [STRIKE]£750[/STRIKE] £0, Car finance - £3000 :(

Your explanations don't quite work out to be honest. If your 'base tariff' was the £35 with all the additions, making it £73, then were you over that before you called to add unlimited?

Also, if she changed your tariff straight away, you would be charged for the remaining period of that month (how long was it in the month?), then a month in advance - so this could easily take your bill up to the £190 mark.

Billing date is 9th. Was changed 24th.
    £35 base tarriff, + txt additions = £75.
Then changed the base tarriff to a £45 one instead of the £35 one - I upped my tarriff. I get a free bolton with this, I chose unlimited txts. I then paid £10 on top for Blackberry fee.

I wasn't over when I switched tariffs, they've charged me from when they said the unlimited txts would have started, but they didn't - so I was incurring charges.

So it was changed on the 9th to the new tarriff.

so 9th to the 24th is 16 days, so roughly on the (£35 pcm + addons making it) = £73 * (16/30) would be ~£37.

This Month tariff in advance £45+£10 = £55.

    Also £40 of charges

    40 + 55 + 37 = £132 is what i work out.

Would probably need to see the bills with a breakdown to work it out.

Have you paid the previous bills off in full (£150), if not the amount owed will be rolling over.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

Can't get to it online atm. Yep I've paid the lot off from then. I just think it's not really on how as far as I'm aware i'm getting charged one amount because thats what 02 told me, then I get slapped with a bill for something else.

  • I don't know either wait or request a bill because you want to query the amount, the O2 agent should beable to give you a clear breakdown off all the costs over the phone in the meantime.
