Suggestions for making cheap chocs look expensive?

Dh has a big family so for his brothers and their oh's we just buy a token present. This year things are rather tight!! I've bought some chocs from Poundland - two boxes per couple. I was thinking of trying to tart them up (read disguise poundland boxes), what do you suggest?
I thought of buying some gift boxes and lining with some shredded tissue and a homemade label.
What do you think??

Buy an expensive box of them, eat the contents and then replace with cheaper ones
(sorry, i know this wasn't helpful but couldn't resist
)
Perhaps putting them in a decorated jar? cello some up and tie with big bows?Man who run into airport turn-styles is going to Bangkok
To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research

Yes I agree get a Christmas type box and pile them in.
Or you could find a cheap Christmas plate, or Christmas Mug put them on and cover with celophane then they have something to keep after they have eaten them!0 -
how about some mini chocolate cases made for home made sweets in gold.:whistle: Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0

There were some good tips on Kirstie's home made christmas on ch4 last night, maybe it's on 4od to playback? She wrapped gifts in plain paper and then embellished them with ribbons and things made from beads from broken necklaces.
Asda sell a type of kilner jar fairly cheap you could put them in there and then decorate the jar, so it looks completely home made.0 -
Claireac, have you tasted them?
You might be able to make them look expensive, but IMO if they tasted like cheap chocolate that would be awful
Thorntons have got bags of chocs, different varieties from £1.49 for 115g bags on 3 for 2, which is around £1 a bag, which could be opened and dressed up!

I would take the box off, leave them in the tray, and wrap them in cello. you could write their names on the cello with a permanent marker, and draw designs even, after you have wrapped them.Loving the sunny days!0
