Text message from United Utilities

I was hoping some of you might be able to advise me about a query I have.
I just got a message on my mobile from "UtdΩUtils" saying:
"This is a message from United Utilities. It is vital for you to contact us on 0845 456 9099 today"
I have just moved flat and paid of the balance for the old one and set up a direct debit for the new one (with the first payment due next week). I was wondering of anyone could advise me on whether this is a real request from United Utilities or a hoax? I looked on the their website to see if the number matched any they had listed and it didn't. I filled in and sent a contact form but it said that they could take up to 10 days to respond.
I only have a mobile phone, no landline, so I am loathe to call an 0845 number without having to.

I would class it as spam. It is a typical ploy used by scammers, Even if it is UU, they should know better. Let them phone you properly or write.
