    Can you get into Safe Mode? If so, that would indicate that your problem is probably not hardware related.

    Right, showed to a pperson I knw, and he said to get a recovery disk. Where do I get it from?

    A person I knw had a look at it and he mentioned to get a recovery disk. Where cud I get that? He was in a rush.

    did you get one with the laptop or the option to make one when you first booted it up?
  • try F10 on boot up, the recovery partition for Sony's, it might let you restore the laptop

    if i do a system restore, it means me having to delete the virus i had, had 2 viruses which i finally got rid off 2 days bak

    If you do a system recovery, you will lose everything. The computer will be put back in the state it was in the day you bought it. If you can get into safemode, you may be able to rescue some documents.

    I think you are confusing Sys Restore with a factory restore. The former will 'wind back' your system to a specified date. The latter will revert it to it's condition as shipped -i.e. you lose all your data.
    If your problem is hardware related, neither will work.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Yep, sorry I was thinking of using the recovery partition, if one is available. You're quite right about the system restore. I will amend my post.
