Depending on area, £10/week is probably OK.
But, think about it BEFORE letting anyone have it - potential problems, if you wanted it back, in a hurry. Also you'll be letting part of your home, so insurers will want to know.
COULD be not worth the hassle, if you had problems!!

Thanks VB - I hadn't thought about that - I don't know if it would be worth all the hassle with mortgage company. It's just my grandma keeps nagging me to rent the garage out! I was told yesterday that she has told my cousin he can rent our spare room for a few years!!!!!!!!!!! First thing I heard of it!0 -
I'd buy a car.

With our terraced house in the West Midlands we had no garage and no drive and were delighted to rent someone else's garage and drive for £40 a month to keep our boat and caravan in.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Thanks for all the useful tips, I do have a car but we never bother to put it in the garage as we have 2 small children and it's easier to park outside the front door!! A party room sounds good or a playroom??? I shall have to investigate!!Personal Loan: £11,488 3.7% Credit card: £5,946 0% Total = £17,4340

Thought you didn't have a car, so were thinking a bit differently, for it's use.
Best check your motor insurance policy, 'cos you MIGHT have declared it's kept in a locked garage overnight, on your terms & conditions.
If you haven't, then see if you can't get a premium reduction, by doing so!!
& if you 'forget' to park in the garage & made a claim, when you told them it was USUALLY garaged, they'd be funny about a payout!!
