Are T-Mobile contract phones unlocked?

I ordered the black Nokia 5800 from the 33% off sale T-Mobile had last Thursday on their PAYG phones.
Still haven't got the phone yet as they've been struggling to obtain stock and it looks as though we're all going to be given the chrome version of the 5800 now instead which is a contract phone exclusive to T-Mobile (chrome not normally available on the PAYG shop).
Just wondering do T-Mobile contract phones come unlocked like O2's and Vodafone's do?
Would be great if they do as I'm on O2 and it will save me paying for an unlock code and make a good deal even better!

Direct from T-mobile then no.
If you bought if from a 3rd party like carphonewarehouse then itprobably would have been unlocked because they dont keep stock of every handset for every network0
