Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Oh, you must be one of those that thinks they save thousands by buying "nearly new". In reality buying brand new is often cheaper than second hand, you have to get the right car at the right time.

Car manufacturers such as Ford and Adam Opel will have huge RRPs, sell them to fleets at reduced costs and then they'll sell them to the public after 6-15k miles. The car second hand costs more than most Japanese cars new, but of course you've "saved" lots of money :rotfl:

As for the Rio, its an ok purchase but not great, the diesel version is a much better engine. Hyundai i10, i20, Toyota Yaris or Mitsubishi Colt are all better.

The depreciation argument is only valid if you're keeping the car 1-2 years. Most Kia products have the lowest depreciation in the industry, if it cost 6k it'll be worth maybe 3k in 3 years time, you've lost 3k. Go buy a less reliable VW product it'll cost 12k and it'll be worth 5k come trade in time 3yrs after, you've lost 7k (A thousand more than the Kia cost in the first place).

What's a KIA driver in a crowd of Proton drivers: "a poser!"

KIA does 5 and 7 year warranties to counter the image problem, so the image problem is pretty bad, thanks to Jeremy Clarkson and his disciples. I had a test drive, nothing really wrong, but I'm going for a Mitsubishi COLT, to replace the COLT that had an accident.
