Also got an extendable back scratcher for £1.00

where in store do people find the 10p items? are they in a different section or is it just stated on the SEL? TIA
In our local store the grocery items are on the shelves in their normal places but with a red SEL that shows 10p. My eyes are trained to spot these labels at a distance! Household/garden reductions are usually bunched together on a shelf with a big red reduction label. I don't know if all stores work the same way.
Not being a connoisseur, I cannot corroborate. In my limited experience (based on occasional Saturday afternoon trips to Essex when they coincide with HDUK posts) the red label is the giveaway, but they tend to be scattered about the store. So if on a bargain hunt, it's always worth setting aside an extra 20 minutes to traipse up and down the aisles. And if you happen to live near a store, keep an eye on HDUK.

There's nothing quite like the thrill of the 10p purchase on an item I know I can use or give away :o

yes do agree one of my best bargains were the mini bottles of wine for 50p - very nice wine and enjoyed for man a picnic for months after - we cleared the shelves!!

Also occasionally by the tills our shop has a trolley/s of reduced items mostly 10p so look around the tills just in case and often odd sweets/crisps at the tills. I once bought most of the sweets/crisps for a party for about two quid and we had loads of variety!

We did have someone asking on here a couple of weeks back where they could get Coconut Milk. Well i got 2 tins for £1 in my local B&M today.

Thanks for the info, perfect timing. I have run out of coconut milk and we are using it every day at the moment, hopefully our local store will be stocking this.

  • I popped into my local B & M yesterday and bought one of these, really pleased with this price as last year I paid over £30 for the same thing!

(My local one is in Milton Keynes but sure this will be national)

My husband (who would eat baked beans on Christmas Day if he was let) loves Bonners beans, more than other famous named baked beans.

There was none in stock a couple of weeks ago in the Southport and Ormskirk stores. Found 3 odd tins in the Ormskirk store last Saturday.

Hope they're not discontinued or changing the manufacturer. Just wondering if they're still being stocked in other B and M stores???

Can now answer my own question. Noticed today that Poundstretchers are selling the Bonner brand. Noticed beans, spagetti, soup, chicken in white sauce and I think there was others that I can't remember. :)
  • Not a bargain as such, more a sought after item at the moment - my local one had loads of Frozen onesies £7.99 each up to age 7-8.
