So I was planning on having it sent to him in London as a surprise for christmas....

I think you can only get items sent to the payment address? I'm sure someone will correct me if that's wrong?

Ahh I didn't know that! Thanks, Maybe I could get it here and have it sent special delivery down to the base down there.

I have asked a seller to put a personal note in for me. Worked well when i ordered some fudge and wanted it sent directly up north to my grandad in a care home. Saved me 2 lots of postage and i know he enjoyed the fudge :).

You can ask :) hopefully they will say yes. Unless you are worried about the contents not being as described then i would just bear the cost of wrapping / posting yourself.

what u do is go to paypal and in your profile there is a bit to add an address so put in a gift address in there. Then hit pay now in ebay the first page is shows ur normal address but there is a drop down box near it for gift address the new address will be in there. choose it then pay as normal. The next time you use ebay it will default back to yoru normal address.

Wont it show as an unconfirmed address and won't it look suspicious if I am a female and its going to a Male?

Well i have done it a few times its very convienient. as long as the seller send to the address on the payment page which would be the gift address it would be fine.

Lots of couples have one paypal account and more than one ebay id so it would not bother that many people male or female.

I have used a gift address this week seller has not been in touch so i assume they dont' even notice any difference their end.

Has seller put something on listing about only sending to confirmed addresses?

Nothing, but am now worried, am thinking of getting it delivered here wrapping it as suggested and then giving it him on xmas eve to open the next day.
